What is your religion?

I call it a higher power because "Supreme Being" sounds too "elitist" to describe God... But I absolutely agree, you won't find God (or Jesus) in churches. At least not in most churches. You also will not find Christianity in any political party either. I believe you're either a Christian or a Political Party Member, but you can't be both. The reason being something I read in the Bible.

"Beware of false prophets. They come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves."
Matthew 7:15

I have seen people from both major Political Parties (and a couple of non-major ones as well) say that "You can't be a Christian if you're a __________!" as attack on the other side. I believe they're both right. Because in my opinion, that applies equally to all Political Parties. And just saying that says to me that you are definitely not a Christian, because real Christians do not hate or attack each other.

This is not an attack on anything anyone believes. It's just my opinion. If you disagree, that's fine because that would be your opinion.

None. Religion is the cause of all the world's problems. I'm not saying I don't believe in God, just that I am not affiliated to a particular religion.

I am a Christian. Christ Died for us after suffering a horrible death taking on our sins and the punishment for them. He then rose, conquering death and sin and sent the Holy Spirit to live IN US if we believe and follow him. God is in each of us, then. Community can strengthen us in our belief and keep us sharing the Good News.

I am not religious unless I want to be. I have been a Buddhist monk for 40 years. I still live as a hermit w/partner, am 72. :)

Atheist. I'm Jewish by birth, family, tribal identity, etc., but that's a secular connection, not a religious one.

How is it that the mayor of London is Islamic?
Why does that even matter? There are quite a few white mass murderers. Does that mean that all white people are mass murderers? Of course not. So why do some white people see people from other races / nationalities, etc., as being different than how we view ourselves?

Christian. "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." John 3:16

My opinion is this:
Anyone can be a christian, regardless of who they are or what they've done. Obviously, some political parties have non-christian views, so that to some extent is true, but that doesn't mean that they can't still be a Christian. Again, my opinion, I'll agree to disagree.
