Went outside to move the gathered leaves out to the curb for pickup, and scoop my front yard apple drops up to throw on top.

I found two more "clean" drops with no wormholes that neither deer nor wasp had found before me.

These are so good, better than the store-bought Fujis I have just washed the other day. Every year about this time I think "If only I sprayed! Just think of the apples I'd have and be able to give away to neighbors and passersby."

Fresh tart sweet crispy apples are really good. I'll bet they'd make a great cider too.

Just finished putting out my string of orange and purple solar powered "fairy lights."

Odd thing though, usually the neighborhood has a lot of Halloween stuff out in yards by now. Not (yet?) this year.

In a few months I'll be raking them up for compost and garden beds.

Today I'm contemplating mopping floors.

We've had solar equipment since 2011 and still not set it up.

Last nite we had a birthday party dinner for middle daughter. Just finished cleanup. I am not up to big dinner projects like that any more.

A bit more sunshine today, but a bit thin and pale. Did some leaf-blowing but the ground and leaves are too damp to accomplish a lot so maybe I'll take another stab later on.

I am waiting for them to drop here so I can rake them up for gardens. If I'm still able that is. Probably so since its only a few months away before they fall.

In a few minutes Jake and I will be saving some huge oaks in the forest. Some have vines on them size of your forearm. He is charging the pole saw now.
Vines are the biggest tree killers here. We tree huggers can't take the vines killing these trees, especially after Helene coming thru taking down trees or damaging them by blowing off big limbs.
