What's your Weather like today

Don I became concerned about you and family after reading about the bad weather there. Could not remember if you were in its path or not.Seems like your okay m that is good:)
Thanks @Hedi M for your concern. We are not badly affected here as we are just getting rain. Temps in the 30s F. and raining. Our previous Alaska home out west was suffering severe flooding and the villages directly on the coast were devastated. The Coast Guard and National Guard are doing what they can to rescue people and, as far as I know, there are only two people not accounted for. The seacoast in Western Alaska is very flat, so when they get a 10 to 15 foot increase at high tide, the water goes well inland. The storm was the extratropical remnants of Typhoon Halong and it hit the west coast with the force of a category 2 hurricane and carried a lot of water with it in addition to the storm surge. My wife has been in contact with some of our friends out there and I don't believe any of them were made homeless as with hurricanes, there was plenty of warning about the approach of this storm.
