What's your Weather like today

Clear and down to 36 F./2.2 C. this morning. Frost may not be far away. I was hoping it would stay warmer at least into September. but it is what it is I guess. A friend has decided to "snowbird" in Michigan where the winters are much shorter. Heating the big greenhouse with a woodstove is a real drag, but the smaller two are automatic electric heat, so we may move plants into the smaller greenhouses and discard the less-productive plants to the compost. We can cover some of the outside gardens, but not all.

Brr, I forgot what Winter feels like. :ROFLMAO: We're down at 54 F right now.

We've had a few cool nights in the low 60s but this one is quite a dip. Quite a change from the high of 80 yesterday, but even that was down from the 90s of the past week.

We've only had 14 days in the 90s this year so far, so all in all we've been warm but nowhere near a record month.

Saturday evening we got hit with a severe storm warning out of the blue, but never got a drop despite just 2 miles East got 4 inches of rain and penny-size hail in two hours. A pop-up storm cell sat on them and just stormed and stormed. The oddest thing was, a front came through and it passed right through the storm without shifting it! Very weird. We got flood warning here, but for us that was almost a joke since we didn't get any precipitation at all. We're quite dry right now actually.

After a couple of days of gloom I might catch a few buckets of solar power today. 64 F and a little fog, but it seems to be lifting quickly to a clear sky. It might get to 78 degrees here today but I think we may be on the glidepath into Autumn now.

We are definitely shifting into cooler fall-like temperatures here in northern Alabama, too. Going to be all done with the 90+ stuff, and down into the lower 80’s, it looks like from the 10 day forecast.
Hoping that it will be a nice fall and I can actually be outside and enjoy the fall weather.

56 F. and sunny this morning. It was about the same temperature all night. We often have a nice "Indian Summer" after our first frost. No frost yet, but it did get down to 39 F. one night. We are getting to the time of year when we have to be ready for frost or freeze any time. The leaves are dropping a few at a time, but no real color change or mass drop of leaves.

Started near 54 F though overnight it got cooler than that. Only expecting a high around 69 F, despite good sunlight by 8:30 AM... which already seems to be retreating to gloom. Rain expected before Noon.

Sun ascension this morning early on was already shockingly southerly in angle. Solar panels need to be angled toward the SE as soon as I put them out. Add the crappy cottonwood leaf fall to everything else and it sure has an Autumn feel.

But next week is supposed to steadily ramp back up to 80 F by next week Wednesday.

It is chilly here this morning, 67 and breezy. Will be in the high 70’s or low 80’s for the next 10 days, according to the forecast on my iPad. It looks like the backyard swimming pool is over with for this year, but maybe there will be some nice weather for working outside.
We are going to the fitness center in a couple of hours, and i will swim there. Going to try and make it and every other day thing now that the weather is cooler.
Later, it will be nice to have the hot tub there, too. It is part of our Silver Sneakers benefit for the Medicare Advantage plan, so I hope they keep it again next year.

As the Sun ascends I have rediscovered that on a sunny morning my living room gets bright and soon feels cozy. I have large windows on both the East and South and in late Summer and late Winter it "glows up" in there very nicely.

It has been another warm day today but cooled down now. The temperature is supposed to be dropping slowly over the next few days.

Cool again, but only down around 53 F. Rising to maybe 71, though overcast and soon rainy until late afternoon.

Been hearing marching band practice in the distance lately, so I expect a high school football game or two over the next day or so before the holiday weekend.

Supposed to dip to 44 again tonight though, then warm up quite a bit to almost 80 during the Labor Day weekend here. The swings are rough now. It is hard to adapt to them and right now I'm really bundled up.

Mid-40s nights are with us for a while now. Sunny weekend coming, so while an expected high of 69 today we'll soon be in the 70s during the days this weekend.

Sunrise at 7:00 (DST) here today. We really are slouching toward Autumn and shorter days.

A definite shift to fall weather here. More of the trees are dropping leaves, but Alaska trees cue somewhat off the loss of daylight as well as the weather. We got an inch of rain yesterday, and the wind picked up. Rain has increased this morning and with the wind still blowing, it feels like a fall storm. We will be travelling again in a couple weeks, so everything outside above ground will probably need to be harvested by then, even though we will only be gone for a few days. We cannot expect the house sitter to be responsible for that. The greenhouses without "automatic" heat may also be harvested as we begin to settle in for the winter.
