What's your Weather like today

Canadian wildfire smoke is getting bad again.
One day up in Eureka, I got up in the morning and as I as feeding Mr. Coffee I looked out the kitchen window and thought for a second I was on Mars or something. The smoke was so thick the sky was a deep orange. I was very glad that I had no compelling reason to go outside...

today was lovely. I put the new chick/pullets in the baby coop. The smell in my house was getting a bit much no matter how much I changed the bedding.
I went to the park where they have permanent adult exercise equipment. I tried some of it but prefer my own, I think. I especially wanted to try the rowing machine which is off the ground. but the foot placement and seat did not move, only the 'oars' did.
Back to my basement.

I may have lost count but I think this is the 10th day with rain. Some years it’s really wet like this and then no more for weeks so I’m not complaining ….. yet.

38 F. and raining this morning. I am sure there is copious new snow on the mountains around us, but we cannot see them for the clouds. This is usually our warm and dry season with fire danger, so I wonder what the rest of the "summer" has in store. The high today is predicted to be around 48 F.

That reminds me of a vacation we took in Oregon, Washington and British Columbia, Canada. It rained every day except one. We did get to see Crater Lake National Park in Oregon. We stopped there for a few hours on the way to the North Cascades. In between Crater Lake and the North Cascades, it started to rain. Mount Rainier, the North Cascades and Olympic National Parks etc., all shrouded in clouds.

The only day it didn't rain all day long we were in Vancouver BC. The clouds lifted well enough that we could see the North Shore Mountains north of the city, and we decided that since the rest of the vacation had been a washout, we would go there. Of course, by the time we got there, it was raining again.

This was our second vacation to include BC. The first one was much better. This one was basically three weeks of hotel hoping and driving in the rain, for the low, low price of $2,500. We could have driven around in the rain much cheaper at home...

Damp and chilly here, about 55F with fine light rain. A bit over half an inch of rain since it started yesterday around Noon. Should be letting up and warming to mid-70s. Not bad conditions really, considering I reseeded some shady areas of lawn a week ago.

A couple more days of off and on light rain coming up. At least the pall of wildfire smoke out of Canada isn't as apparent now.

We have another sunny day, and then supposed to have rain again tomorrow for the whole weekend. The humidity right now is 91%, according to the weather app, and it is 66 here right now, so a nice temperature.
We have the doors open to let in fresh air while it is still cool outside.

Later today, but before it gets too hot, I need to drag out the garden hose and soak the new rose bushes really good, and then I should not have to do it until next week if we have rain over the weekend. They look like they are starting to grow, and i am hoping me will get blooms before it gets too hot this summer, but it might not happen until this fall if we have a really hot summer.

It’s a gorgeous day now after waking up to thick fog and drizzle. It’s supposed to rain again later today but I’m having a large Aspen tree removed right now so I’m happy for the break in the weather. 🌞

We have high smoke haze yet, but the front passed so for now we've had nearly clear skies aside from that this afternoon. Wet ground, soggy ground, and a bit of standing water so I suspect we got more than the half an inch claimed. At least the couple days of cold seems to have tamed the skeeters temporarily. About 75F with a nice breeze right now.
