What's your Weather like today

It has been lovely and spring like the last week. I put in some garden and potted plants so of course there was a frost warning for last night. I dragged in and covered all I could and whined about my fruit trees. Of course, then, no frost.:sneaky: I am waiting for the days to get warm enough to put my newest chicks out for a little while each day.

It will be 98 here in Henderson, Nevada.
Back in 1980s we played in Las Vegas a lot. We didn't mind it because we rarely left the club. We had rooms in the hotel, we ate our meals in the 49¢ buffets, and we played 3 hour and a half shows a day in the Cabaret. We preferred Stateline, on the shores of beautiful Lake Tahoe or Reno... It was the same deal, but in the Sierra Nevada Mountains instead of the Mojave Desert.

I hear Las Vegas is not how we remember and it was only 30 years or so ago we were there. Free drinks, cheap food and entertainment...I always wanted to see the Venetian, Star Trek and a few other casinos from say 20 years ago but not sure I will ever go back as things are.

My husband says I worry too much and he is right. If I didn't he would have to take care of a alot of surprises. Everything is beautiful here. Spring green, carpets of yellow dandelions, first lawn mows. Finding asparagus peeking and picking nettle...But can't remember just now when the last rain was and things are drying out. Drought seems possible from the forecasts.
My beans actually did finally come up after I ordered some extra seed.
It's ok. I love to share

We seem to be having more rain now in May than we were having last month, so I guess the April showers are late this year. However, we started in with the May flowers back in April, and that part is perfectly fine. All the roses are in bloom and the yard looks pretty. The Knockout Roses are beautiful, but they do not have much fragrance, like the old fashioned roses do.
It is no where near warm enough to even consider playing in the swimming pool yet, but I have been out in the zero gravity recliner getting some good vitamin D when we have the sunny days in between all this rain.

I would have to agree with you there. The last time we played in Las Vegas was in 1988 at Del Webb's Mint and the last time I was there was in 1998. I was talking to one of the club managers at Binion's Horseshoe, and he told me that they had bought the Mint in 1988 and added it to the Horseshoe. We were likely one of the last bands to play in the Mint Cabaret. Some of the other clubs we played at in the 1980s were also gone.

23 F. this morning, but it is sunny and the temps are rising. We are now into our long days, and there is little night except around 3 AM. There was snow the last two days above 1500 ft. elevation.

Well Don at least its wet. It just 'pretends' like its going to rain here..

Rain for 2 days. Satellite TV out. :(

This time I think it's the cedar tree above the dish. Already weighed down with loads of berries this spring, the limbs are sagging even more when they get wet and interfere with the signal.

It is hot and humid. I think we went straight from having heat on to the air-condtioning.

We are supposed to be having a round of bad storms coming through late afternoon to early evening. Baseball size hail and 70mph plus winds with a big chance of a couple of super cells.

Krystal, I hope that weather misses your area.

There are tornadoes on the ground in St. Louis as I type. First reports are lots of trees down and strutural damage as well.

If anyone wants to follow this weather Max Velocity is live on You Tube with storm chasers and traffic cameras.

Everyone be safe!

Today is a beautiful sunny day with cooler temperatures, but yesterday early evening…..😨

We dodged a bullet yesterday. Oh my goodness, there is so much damage all around us from the tornado. It was a huge tornado. There were many homes that were flattened to the ground. It was 2-3 miles from our house/neighborhood. Too close for comfort. I have had enough of these storms.😵‍💫
