What video are you watching on YouTube?

Truly great 1950s adaptation of the H. G. Wells classic novel. Well above the herd of schlock sci-fi drive-in fare. Worth watching if you've never seen it.

Not really any "shocking secrets" here, but a good overview despite the robot-voice narration:

I keep wondering whether these videos are produced by well-meaning people with incredibly thick accents that embarrass them or something?
 
Many people are clinging to physical media today. In part this is the cost of streaming if you want to see an old movie again but another issue is that some titles are not carried (for "reasons") by any streaming service.

Now this is happening:

Some DVD re-releases got cheapened out in a weird way
 
YouTube is not just a place where kids post videos.

I was surprised but not shocked to see this one:


I followed him for several years. What did shock me is that he was younger than I am.
 
A reaction video to the 2015 TV series The Expanse.

I love this show, and seeing people new to it fall in love with its high quality writing, acting, and production is one more way to enjoy it. It is solid adult entertainment - and not in some prurient way. It is a shining star of something very close to real science fiction in a sea of dumbed down pop sci-fi.
 
Sarcastic humor over an old instructional background film. But... interesting how it points out the citizenship and ID requirements for voting early on in the original underlying film.
