The convenience store on the corner near us is a Sunoco, and this is where Bobby usually gets the gasoline for the pickup. We have used Shell sometimes when we had a gift card (from our Humana Medicare rewards), but we are starting to use Kroger fuel now, too. Kroger was not mentioned in the video, so I have no idea where it fits into his list of fuels. Maybe I can look it up and see where Kroger gets their fuel from.
We have not had any problems with the truck. I used to put a tank of non-ethanol in ever couple of weeks ago, especially in the winter, and that seemed to help keep the vehicle running smoother, but I am not sure if the station even has that anymore, becasue Bobby usually does the gas when he is there by himself. Even so, it would be Sunoco fuel, which the video says is pretty bad stuff.
Okay, I looked up Kroger fuel, and it says it is top tier, and sources their fuel from Exxon, Shell, and BP, which are all in the list of what he says are the best fuel sources.
When we shop at Kroger, we get fuel points, plus an extra 50 points from me doing their survey each week. Each 100 points is worth 10 cents per gallon discount on price. We have over 300 points for November, which we use in December, so the next time we get fuel, we will save 30 cents per gallon. We do not drive a lot anymore, so sometimes only need fuel once a month.
