It will be interesting to see how Russia retaliates. I suspect the planned peace conference will not take place. I wonder if Canada will feel more vulnerable now or would perhaps rather not be associated with the U.S. or NATO.Ukraine made a major drone attack on Russia’s planes last night. Apparently they seriously impacted Russias Air Force but I didn’t bring details. I have two thoughts.
Hopefully this will bring Russia to seriously address peace..
This kind of drone attack on the US is probably what the Golden Dome is intended to prevent.

I'm surprised they (at least the history professor) didn't even mention the Iraq War. The female reporter was only 11 years old at the time. Canada refused to participate in the invasion, though they did participate in the reconstruction afterwards. That was during the Bush Admin, right after Clinton left office.
What should we have done instead? The war in Iraq (the one after 911) probably ranks up there among the worst mistakes the US has made in recent history. Canada was right not to participate, imo. I often wonder, without Cheney and Rumsfeld around, but probably still Colin Powell, how would things have changed, if at all, if W had not won the 2000 election. Would we have gone looking for WMD? I doubt it.
The Neocons under Bush saw the opportunity to box in Iran, with Afghanistan on one side and Iraq on the other. They thought they could install "friendly" governments in those nations...but it didn't turn out well.I think they wanted to go into Iraq for other reasons and 9/11 was an excuse.
