November has been a busy month !
I have been working on straightening up the pantry/storage room and putting things where they are more organized and we can find them easier. Bobby opened up the little closet area where the hot water tank used to be, so we can have a bit more storage in there, and with Rusty now living in his Condo in the living room, there is more room in the kitchen now, too.
(Poodle is still jealous that Rusty has a condo and he does not have one, so I might have to get one for Poodle, too. Any time Rusty is outside, Poodle hurries right into Rusty’s condo and sleeps in Rusty’s bed. )
We still have the dwarf Red Rome apple coming from Starks, and it should be here later this week, and that is pretty much it for outside gardening for this year. I moved the aerogardens from the pantry into the front room by the windows, and am working on getting those set up and planted again. Mostly it will be herbs for the winter, and then in the spring, I can start anything that we want to grow outside, like the perennial tree kale/collards.
Today was our 24th anniversary, and we went to a southern buffet that we have never been to before. The food was great, not too salty, and the fried green tomatoes were wonderful !
It is further away than we usually go, but we needed to go that way anyway, so it made it a good place to try out for this year. We usually go to a Mexican restaurant for anniversaries and birthdays, but this seems like a nice change of pace, and they had several tables of different kind of foods, way too many to even come close to trying very many items.
