    Last thing you bought

A 12 inch level with lights. :p You push a button and the light comes on red. Turns to yellow and then green when it is level. It's a little too sensitive for my quality of work, but at least you can see the bubble easier in the dark. Takes one AA battery.

Last thing you've done when offline?

Cleaned old paint off of some old cabinet door hinges.

    Having your vehicle cleaned

I've never had a vehicle cleaned at a car wash. When I was living in rental apartments, I'd go to those DIY places where you throw in quarters and race around on a timer to get everything rinsed off. I don't think that counts.

    What's bothering you right now?

Digital coupons. Rewards cards are bad enough. It would be a full-time job trying to shop on a tight budget now. I think of seniors who are not so savvy about the internet. I think of my mother and grandmother in today's world.

That's the Way It Crumbles, Cookie-Wise

About 6 months ago I took apart the (40-year-old) exhaust fan in the upstairs bathroom and cleaned the dust off of everything. Stopped it from rattling. I ordered a new motor/fan repair kit anyway, because a little voice told me dirt wasn't the only culprit, it was only $25, and they might...

What I absolutely detest are these fake A.I. videos. There has been an explosion of them recently on YouTube. They need to find a way to make these totally obvious to an ordinary person. Now a YouTuber can back up any information they choose by creating videos depicting well known, respected...

    Bitten by an animal

When I was finally able to catch my last cat---in the backyard in town, abandoned by someone---she bit completely through my thumbnail, even with baby teeth. She never tried to bite again for the next 16 years. One time by a German shepherd dog. Left 4 bruise marks on my leg through a heavy...

No. I think it's space aliens. There will be billions of them eventually. They are tiny and will be living in these data centers. They are very intelligent and use mental telepathy for communication. That's what all the UFO sightings are about---billionaires bringing in all these space...

    My bird station

Both look beautiful to me. If it were mine, where I live, I'd use the caged one. Not only squirrels, but mourning doves come in droves. Is the camera inside the cage? How do you get into it to put food? How big are the rectangle openings on the cage?

Yes! Customer Service is a pretty close description of the situations where A.I. has been very useful, at least to me. I suppose having it rearrange your words to answer back can be annoying, but it leaves no doubt what question it is answering, in case you worded your question badly. I...

It was probably misleading for me to include the sentence, "No one with experience seems to want to answer questions anymore." That's a slightly different issue. A topic for another day. Concerning A.I. searches. I'm not talking about subjective things or opinions. I'm talking about facts...

That's the Way It Crumbles, Cookie-Wise

I'm going to put in a good word for A.I. . There are so many things I should do, but don't know how to do them. No one with experience seems to want to answer questions anymore. So time-consuming to try and find out on your own. I gave up thinking about them until each one required...

Who did you last speak to ?

The man who mows the lawn for the rental property next door.

(7/16/26) I was able to squeeze in mowing the front lawn just after the dew evaporated and before afternoon shower time. The temperature was 95 degrees, but the front lawn takes less than 15 minutes. The lawn service guys for the surrounding rental properties were in the neighborhood and...

Bird Updates: (7/12/26) Sunday : The bluebird(s) left the nest sometime after noon. I think it was just after a strong storm cell swept through---winds gusting to 40 mph, 0.68 inches of rain in just a few minutes. It's rained every day since. They are probably sorry they left home now. The...

Marie Mallory has passed away yesterday.

This is such sad news about Marie. Everything happened so suddenly. I feel bad for Jake and the rest of Marie's family. We will miss her and all her music.
