My bird station

I get a lot of pigeons and grey squirrels visiting so decided to rebuild the caged bird station last month just to feed the little birds.
I feel sorry for the bigger birds visiting not getting to feed.

Here are 2 separate feeding station.
I have 24/7 CCTV recording the bird station close up I don't want to make 2 seperate bird stations one for small and another for bigger birds as I like to capture everything in one camera shot.

The bird station is always kept clean.
Which one looks better? Caged bird station or open bird station?

Personally,, I like the open bird station, but like you say, you will have large birds and squirrels if you have the open one, and just smaller birds in the caged one. It really depends on what birds you want to feed. If you want to feed just the small birds, then it looks like the cage is the best option. I was thinking that you were going to do something like this last summer becasue of all the squirrels, but you must not have done anything different back then after all.

Both look beautiful to me. If it were mine, where I live, I'd use the caged one. Not only squirrels, but mourning doves come in droves. Is the camera inside the cage? How do you get into it to put food? How big are the rectangle openings on the cage?
