Has Trump outsmarted everybody?

Seems like a waste of money and manpower to me. I think a better plan would be actual immigration policy reform.
There actually is a very good immigration policy that worked for years.
It starts with the number of people allowed from each country to come to the U.S. and apply for citizenship.
Each applicant has to be vetted and upon acceptance must wait in line. Simple.

The lotto holders and asylum seekers are for the most part only partially vetted but the past administrations have allowed them to come in and all but disappear into the population.
If we remember right, during the Obama administration. if a person was Saudi, that person didn’t even need a VISA to come into the U.S.

The thing is, the present (real) immigration policy is indeed simple but the rule of law was overlooked in favor of the potential votes gleaned from illegally obtained new loyalists to the party that turned the proverbial blind eye.

The best immigration reform policy would be to close the damn border and let them come in legally like it was always done before Biden.

Do you remember the Great Depression? WWII started in the Depression. Where did the money come from?
I know some things about it, but of course, I don't personally remember the Great Depression. I would have to be a little older for that.

And yes, I am aware that WWII started on September 1st, 1939, and the Great Depression supposedly started in 1929 and ended when WWII started.

The funding for WWII came from taxes, war bonds, military supplies and production and Lend-Lease Agreements with our allies.

A new war would probably be funded the same way...with debt from various sources.

Wasn't there also some jiggery-pokery with gold reserves, currencies, and gold ownership by peons?

I thought what ramped up public support for socialism in Germany had to do with carpet-bagging between the wars that stripped the country of gold, fine art, real estate, businesses, and other assets.

Half accurate... Biden didn't change those policies in a negative way. That was someone else.

That and some slightly illegal banking practices. Some American banks didn't exactly have "All American Interests."

Chase National Bank, Brown Brothers Harriman, Union Bank and J.P. Morgan & Company to name a few.

Roosevelt eliminated private ownership of gold by Americans by executive order in an effort to ease the Depression. He also separated the investment banking from the retail banks to prevent things from getting worse. I think Nixon undid the gold ban and Clinton put the two banking systems back together, which led to the 2008 debacle. I know little about the finances of Germany in the inter-war years other than government spending led to massive inflation, which played into Hitler's plans. He went on a massive spending spree and then the only way out was to go to war, which likely was the plan all along. The winners of WWI (except the U.S., who actually won the war but suffered the least) wanted Germany to pay the entire cost of the War to End All Wars even though they didn't directly start it. Austria-Hungary started the war, but was in ruins afterward and had no ability to pay anyone anything. The massive war debt probably in the end pushed Germany into the second war, but I think Germany just inflated the Mark as Biden did the Dollar--Hitler funded a war, and Biden funded Ukraine and NGOs.

I've been listening to China observers, and a point was made that I hadn't heard before.

Chinese automakers use convict labor, with shoddy quality and poor QA practices. In particular, BYD and its BEVs was singled out. These often fail early in life in ways that are horribly expensive to repair, and battery fires in them are notorious - not to mention charging station electrocutions due to very weak safety design.

This is why they are cheap: every corner is cut.

China does use slave labor in some of its manufacturing, and the corruption is so deep that every corner is cut for profits. That is, in part why their buildings and those they construct in and for other countries often fall down. "Tofu Construction" is what the Chinese consumers have named it I think.

The SCOTUS has ruled that the Administration has the power to extradite or evict criminal illegals from the country, a district court judge believes he has the last word and is apparently ordering the Trump Administration to stage a military raid to El Salvador to "rescue" the criminals who are El Salvadoran citizens who have been convicted of crimes in that nation, who fled to the U.S. illegally, and committed crimes here. El Salvador has refused a request to send them back to the U.S. but the stupid judge in D.C. demands they come back here anyway., even if it requires a use of the military to do so. Last I saw, judges have no power to send the military anywhere. How far are we from the Administration ignoring judicial orders? FDR came close but backed down when Congressional Democrats advised him to do so.

Also, I saw that a court in the UK ruled that men are men and women are women, and can't be changed. I guess it was regarding court precedents set hundreds of years ago. A surprise from the normally Woke British judicial system.

I look at it like some folks don't like being threatened and pushed around. And since the Easter US is highly dependent on Canadian energy, Trump should remember that. Specially since some of his richest friends live there.
Trump does not want to make things more expensive or to take over Canada. They don't understand his strategy. He wants to level the playing field, make trade fair and get the countries talking. Not just the corrupt legislators.

Regarding the El Salvador thing, if folks can’t see why some Dem. Congress people, judges and governors are now sticking their Pinocchio's into matters that they really do not care about then they’re not watching.

Watching for what, one might ask?
Their bank accounts to be sure.
People in politics who were heretofore basically unseen by the masses are out there proving some sort of relevance so they can be slated for positions of more power…..and money.
The string pullers with deep pockets won’t give up a dime for someone who can’t bring about some sort of political profit hence the concentrated effort by those with no real names focusing on a known criminal who was deported to El Salvador.
The media has now brought them into the limelight and can now be considered a viable puppet for further exploitation by the puppet masters who pay millions in the name of any divisive cause they wish.

Of course, the above is my opinion’s worth but after observing the likes of a broke bartender turned Congresswoman’s brief journey and her now amassed fortune consisting of about 12 million beans for doing absolutely nothing but prove she really belongs on the theater stage, I do think my point is relevant.

Even when the border was closed except at check points, illegals would swim the Rio Grande. Why? Because they were criminals and no way they could make it through a check point. Anyone seeking a better life in the USA can get in legally if they have no record and they can provide legal ID. To get in quickly, one must have a legitimate destination such as a job and employer.

Only CRIMINALS enter illegally. End of story! If you commit a crime in the USA and are a citizen, you wouldn't flee to Mexico thru a checkpoint, but would cross illegally and hope the Mexican police didn't find you. They deal with "illegals" very harshly including torture in filthy prisons.

Illegals have no rights under the USA Constitution. They have no right to a day in court. Immediate deportation is totally constitutional and in the best interest of the country. What other country has open borders and rewards illegal crossers with more gifts than its tax paying citizens? Try crossing into Canada and not stopping when a guard yells halt. That ain't no toy gun they are pointing at you and they will pull the trigger for a clean kill shot.

Hundreds cross the border every day legally to work in the USA and then they return home, some daily, others weekly or monthly. Some get Visas for seasonal work which usually is a six month stay. Nothing novel about it.

I have one neighbor that does this and has for years. His kids were born here, so when school age, they stayed with other legal relatives when he and the wife returned to Mexico. Before school age, they went to Mexico with them. His wife died and he became a citizen. This was several years ago. He still goes to Mexico to his place every late fall and winter. Now, when here, he stays with his, now grown, kids that bought the place here from the relatives.

Germany and England. I don't think their citizens are very happy about it.

The limelight should show them using our money to fly down to South America and staying in a pricey hotel with all the security and transport that goes with it.
