Cold weather is bothering me right now I hate cold weather when I step outside my warm house.

Just think @Smithy you could be here now: -36 F./ -37.8 C. It is getting near the crossover point of -40 F./C.

That is cold!!! I don't think I could live in Alaska anymore at this age. It was fun when I was young. I believe Alaska is a dry cold and not a shivering humid cold?? But that is a dangerous cold. Frost bite can happen quick! Stay warm Don.

I posted about the different types of cold. I call the humid cold "miserable cold", as it makes you feel miserable but doesn't endanger your life as quickly as the "real cold". Have you read To Build a Fire ?

I have been searching for a used car and I found that a lot of the dealers will do a bait and switch.
They advertise a car that looks too good for the price when you go and see it there's an excuse why they can't sell it, so they try to pawn a different car off on you.
It waste my time and it's very annoying.

No. I have not read that book. I may have to read it! I have read Jack London's "Call of the Wild" and "White Fang" though.

I bounced a check for maybe the first time in my life and now it is like a cascade going on until I can get to the bank tomorrow. I put a non internal transfer on at the bank worrying that people were taking envelopes with bill payment windows out of the mail and changing the checks to themselves and more. SS is deposited directly so it is not that money won't be there but the holidays messed things up.
(It could not be that I forgot about replacing the water heater when I paid the property taxes )

I have an annoying headache. I think it is a sinus headache cause from dryness in the air. We got a new humidifier that was delivered today, since our old one bit the dust. So hopefully it will help with some dryness in the house that we get in the winter months from having the heat on.

Awful nightmare. Fading now, hours later, but the discomfort lingers.

Horrible work situation, reminiscent of a number of them over my career. This one ended up with me out-the-door rather vigorously and financially punishing. Not to mention how truly nasty they were about it.

In a way it's hard to believe that after 14 years since I bailed out of that place it can still produce nightmares about incompetence, bad decision-making, back-biting bosses, and organizational decay.

I suppose the PTSD hasn't faded.

@Krystal I started using a xylitol nasal spray available on Amazon to help with just that problem. Use it twice a day or more, and it seems to help immensely.

On the positive side, I ended up taking a nap and though the same dream scenario appeared it wasn't all negative. There were a number of supportive colleagues and coworkers there, many I haven't though about for a very long time. Many of them were sympathetic in sincere and meaningful ways and a few stood alongside me speaking out against my ouster.

Very vivid, specific, and detailed. Unlike most dreams that I have had. I suppose my subconscious mind is getting better at coddling me.

It looks like you are having colder weather than usual over on your side of the Pond, @Smithy . I have been watching the weather in the Netherlands, too, and they are still getting some snow , just like England is getting, and parts of Europe.
