A Christian friend of ours has been blessed by her teachings and videos for quite a while. My Wife likes her as well, and we have listened to her when we catch her on TV. I have never heard Andrew Henry, I will have to check him out. Thanks Don.I have become something of a fan of Joyce in recent years. When she talks about how she was called to a ministry at (I think) 45 years old, and the struggles it lead to, I was sold. I don't agree with everything she says, but most things speak to me. I personally think the only real prayer are those of thanksgiving, and, perhaps, contrition. Are you familiar with Andrew Henry? He has a YouTube channel titled Religion for Breakfast. He also teaches classes online, but I think they are behind a paywall. He doesn't just address Christianity but teaches more comparative religion in general.

Just a couple of thoughts:
An old Jewish prayer has the words. “Thank God I was not born a woman” to which I have to add; because if I were, I would not have met, fell in love with and married the wonderful woman I have.
Another bit of thanks is a very small daily prayer that thanks God for allowing me yet another day to get it right, another day to feel even more proof that my faith in Him is warranted and his faithfulness is real and complete.
