Will they ban insider trading in Congress?

Many of the representatives in Congress have banded together and are trying to use a procedural loophole to ban Congress from insider stick trading. Nancy Pelosi is the biggest insider trader, and has made over $300 million in insider trading using her husband's account, but many on both sides of the aisle do it. It is one of the reasons that those who enter Congress get rich. The bill is being pushed by Trump, and may ban Congress members from buying individual stocks. Lawmakers always seem to exempt themselves from many of the laws and regulations others have to live under. The Founders believed Congress would pass no oppressive laws, since they would have to live under them. Unfortunately, they have bypassed all that by exempting themselves. Can you imagine what Medicare and Social Security would be like if Congress members had to live with them?

(Assuming you meant to type "stock", but made a typo that you missed, which I do quite often...)
Since the one example you gave was a Democrat, here's a Republican who has done the same thing. Her name is Kelly Loeffler, but I will point out that while members of Congress on both sides have violated the Securities Act of 1933 and the Stop Trading On Congressional Knowledge Act of 2012 (aka, the STOCK Act), but nobody has ever been convicted. In my opinion, this is not a partisan issue, it's political corruption.

It is worth noting though, that have no problem with government employees in non-elected positions owning stocks. People who hold elected Public Offices, such as Presidents, Vice Presidents, Cabinet Secretaries, Members of Congress, etc., any stocks (and or businesses) that they own should be required by law to be placed in Trust until they no longer hold public office. This is yet another reason why I believe that America needs a National Initiative Law, such as the State Initiative Law we have in California.

"The ballot initiative process gives California citizens a way to propose laws and constitutional amendments without the support of the Governor or the Legislature."
