+7 F. and snowing. 6-7 inches over night and the big snow is supposed to come today. We'll see how it goes. I have to get the tractor with the snow blower out in just a bit to clear the drive for the next snow.

Snowing since late morning. Continuing until 5pm. Temp 26F now, dropping to 15 tonight. So far about 2 inches.

It has been trying to snow here, but mostly just blowing around some snowy gusts of wind, straight out of the north. It has been saying that the F/L temp is below zero, but now it is saying we are up to a whopping 4 degrees, with the wind chill.
We are huddling up inside by the gas heater and trying to keep warm.

Its starting to get warmer slightly, tomorrow is gonna be near 40 thankfully

We are finally back above freezing again here in Alabama, and it is supposed to reach 50 here today, which is more like our typical winter temperatures at this time of year.
I am totally ready for it to be warmer and for spring to start showing up anytime, but we still have to make it through the whole month of February before that is apt to happen.

Today & next few days

Looks like this may be the last cold one for a while. It was supposed to be zero this morning but it only got down to 6 F above. So I opened the barn up to let the sun shine in. This week is supposed to be into the 20's and maybe 30's.

Although it IS warming up from the almost arctic cold that we had earlier, it is still chilly, and really windy today. By next week, it looks like we will have a couple days into the 70’s which is definitely good news. It is still in the 50’s here today, and more remain on the forecast for tomorrow. We are not going anywhere for Valentine’s Day, and by Monday, it should be sunny and warmer, and we will do a combo birthday/Valentine’s Day dinner at our favorite Mexican restaurant then. Actually, a lunch/dinner, in the early afternoon, when paces are not so busy since they are in between lunch and dinner here.

Oh my! It is sunny and warm (55F) here today. The willows are turning yellow. Hope someone tells them it will be back in the 20's and 30's next week. But i bought some flower seeds at the dollar store today, just in case.

It is supposed to get colder here by this weekend , too. Nights below freezing. Mon-Wed, and then warming back up. I have moved some planters outside for the week but will be bringing them all back inside this weekend, and keeping them in until it warms back up again. We go through this each spring, so i just put the planters on the front porch where they get sunshine but are4 easier to bring back inside again on cold nights.
