Our big winter storm warning has been downgraded to a winter weather advisory, so perhaps it is petering out. +10 F. and a few snow showers. About 18 inches on the ground.

It is not bad yet, but supposed to be down to the low 20’s F, by tomorrow night. I decided it was time to put the flannel sheets on the bed, so that is done, plus the electric blanket and a nice comforter. That way we can sleep in a cooler room , breathe better, and still be warm enough overnight . We usually just turn on the electric blanket for an hour or so before bedtime to warm up the bed, and then turn it back off again for the rest of the night.
January and February are usually the coldest months here in Alabama, although we did get a really cold snap a while before Christmas this year.

It felt so warm when I was working outside that I didn't even button my coat. It felt absolutely balmy. It is supposed to be snowing now, but nary a flake in sight. Something like 12+inches is still predicted.

Starting to get cold here. Felt like the temperate dropped by a huge amount from yesterday to today. Just last week I was outside in short sleeves and now I'm bundled up like its a snowstorm
