I just officially started back walking, even cut a few vines. I do dance around to music, but not as muxh as I was several weeks ago.

I can really tell when I don't walk or workout, I had to stop on trail a couple times, which I never did before.

I try to walk on the treadmill daily for a few minutes, and in summer my daily life is pretty tough, although not nearly as tough as it was when we had sled dogs, pigs, goats, sheep, turkeys, etc.

I like being outside, although I do use the treadmill now and then.
I don't like the night too much anymore.
I had a old friend who told me she felt the same way decades ago. Now I kin of know what she meant.
I did go to her house and put up light curtains,' white in living room ' and she said it made a big difference.

It just gets more difficult to exercise outside as the temperature drops when we get older. No snow yet, but there are some icy spots and just being out in the cold gets harder. Nights are getting very long here with still about 6 weeks before the light turns around. When the mood is full and there is snow covering the ground, it is almost like daylight, but until the snow falls it is quite dark.

I used to like going to the mountains when it snowed. It was so beautiful with the ice cycles and snow ,A real winter wonderland. But never really wanted to live in a cold climate.
I have pictures of trip with 4 oldest grandkid's to snow ski, The snow was very pretty.
Now the grands are parents, haha, they have 14 kids of their own. Time flys.

I avoid being outside for very long when it is too hot or too cold; but I do enjoy being outside much more than inside, and have always spent more time outside when I was younger and able to do that.
Now, I swim when I can, work in the yard and garden when I can, and otherwise , I walk around inside of the house for exercise. I do use the vibration plate, which helps strengthen both muscles and bone density.
We have a treadmill , but I do not enjoy just walking and not going anywhere.

Lifting my right leg is quite painful so my main 'exercise' is my ski machine. I used to go through a whole movie but now just a few minutes at a time. I keep saying I will work back up to more time.
hahaha

I do balance exercises, some stretches, and work with some light hand weights. My right foot has been hurting for sometime so I haven't been able to take my daily walks. I don't like to exercise much anymore, but I do it so I can try to stay strong and independant for as long as I can.

I watched a woman do squats online last week.
I tried it and have trouble walking since! My right thigh wants to go out and has pain.
So guess I pulled a muscle in my thigh.
It didn't look that dangerous, more proof, looks are deceiving.

That sounds painful, @Marie Mallory ! Hoping that your leg gets better soon. You might try some DMSO or other liniment for the pain in your leg.

Yvonne, I massaged it and walked around some and it is ok now. I did a lot of work in the greenhouse this afternoon and it seemed to help too.
Guess it wasn't as bad as it felt. Thanks for the advice.
