What have you done today?

I recently woke up, made some breakfast and now I’m waiting for the arrival of my little brother.

He’s been locked up for the past 11 years, but he finally made parole!

I’m so excited that he’s finally able to come home to us and hope he doesn’t make the same mistakes that he did in the past.
Did that go well??

Is your battery maintainer a float charger? I used to use one on my tractor battery in the winter as it doesn't get used as much then, but I have found that if my battery blanket is plugged in I don't need the charger, so I use it to maintain a charge on the small batteries--lawn mowers, etc.--that take out and store in the heated garage.
Yeah, but a newer "smart" version of that. As long as you start from a decent voltage on the car battery (well above 2 volts) it will gradually bring it up. Once "charged" it goes into a cycle where it resamples the car battery voltage and if necessary brings it up again. It also has a "repair mode" where it uses pulsing to attempt to desulphate the battery.

But I'm sure that the bitter cold is the real culprit. Now things have warmed enough that the issue will go away.

That is why I use a battery blanket on the tractor. Since it is diesel, it needs all the voltage it can muster when it gets cold.

Besides the usual stuff, I colored my hair today. I swear everytime I color my hair, I am going to stop doing that! 😖:LOL:I was going to make some dinner rolls today, but I may do that tomorrow. I also am soaking a bowl of beans tonight so I can cook them up tomorrow. I make alot of different kinds of beans and then I freeze them in 1 cup containers.

Today has not gone like we planned it at all ! We have a Sam’s Club delivery expected today, and FedEx is usually here in the morning, and then we planned to go to the fitness center and work out and swim. However, the FedEx drove on down the street, so now we do not know if he is going to loop back later, or perhaps not even bring the order until tomorrow, making us watch for it yet another day.

At least it is a nice sunshiny day, sort of warm, and Bobby has been outside enjoying the sunshine. It is going on three weeks since our old forum went offline, and no one has heard anything at all; so I am beginning to think that it is not coming back this time, and we just have to start over again. I wish we had some way to let more of the people know who were part of the old forum, but I only have emails for a few people, and I have already given them the link for this forum.

Well ! Looks like FedEx is here after all, so that part is good news, but it is too late to go to the fitness center today anyway.

Pulled a few vines, and a little training with new shelter dogs.
Maybe Ken would like to join us here?

Today is bright and lots of sunshine, 67F right now, but supposed to be 74 for the high today, so I am hoping to go out in the back yard and catch some sunshine again today.
My cardiologist is sending me to a pulmonary specialist to see if it is something to do with my lungs why I am always so short of breath. Even when I was a kid, it seems like I was short of breath easily, and I have never been a smoker, although I have lived most of my life around people who did smoke.
I was very premature, so my lungs probably never completely developed like they should have. Anyway, hopefully, I will have more answers once i get back home this afternoon after seeing the pulmonary doctor.
I feel great, and walking much better, but even walking out to the truck has me huffing and puffing for air. My oxygen levels are all good, so it is not that.

Hope you feel better soon Yvonne.

I too hope he stays out of trouble, I have a grandchild in prison, very sad she will be over 40 when she gets out. Thanks goodness all the others behave fairly well.
