What do you think of DiscussionHQ forum software?

DiscussionHQ is using a premium forum software called XenForo - www.xenforo.com

Do you like the forum software or would you prefer to see DiscussionHQ use another forum software?

The Xenforo seems to be working just fine, but I am certainly no expert on forum software. We also have Xenforo in both senior forums that I belong to, so I think that it is an excellent choice.
I think that meaningful conversation is what is most important to me when I am looking at joining a forum of any kind. If it is mostly just trivial topics with no interesting conversation happening, then there is not much reason to be involved, in my opinion, no matter that software the forum uses.

I like MyBB forum software it has more add-ons etc but I would rather stick to a forum software the members love.

Just a note if you are on a desktop with AdBlock and are experiencing time-outs trying to use this website

About a month ago, I started getting serious time-outs, requiring several refresh attempts just viewing pages on this site, especially during peak usage times. The message was

Page Could Not Be Loaded /[Reload]

Google AI said this warning was part of XenForo time-out software (beyond my pay grade). It recommended

(1) disabling Adblock permanently for this site, because it was slowing down access, which triggered the message.

That worked for the most part except my browser was putting the website to sleep while not in use, and that was slowing down the process also. The rest may be specific to the Edge browser:

2. Change Edge settings in Optimize Performance section to: Toggle Efficiency mode Off for this site.
3. Disable tracking prevention on this site. (click the padlock icon next to the URL while on this website)

That seems to have worked.

I know this forum is geared toward cellphone users. My cell phone uses the Chrome browser. Chrome on phones does not have all these safeguards, so I can view the forum with no problems on the phone.
