Were Gene Hackman and his wife murdered ?

At first, the investigators thought it was some sort of accidental death, maybe from a gas leak; but that turned out to be wrong once they investigated it. Since Hackman was in his 90’s, a natural death seemed possible, but it was strange that his wife and also one of their dogs was found dead.
From what i read, they were found in separate rooms, and the dog that died was locked up in either a crate or a closet, and pills were scattered on the floor.

Actor Randy Quaid has said that he believes that Hackman and his wife were murdered, and the investigation is still ongoing, but whether they will decide that he was murdered or not remains to be seen.
An interesting connection is that the Epstein files are supposed to be released, and Hackman had made a statement on Twitter (now X) that he would help put people in prison if it was the last thing he did.
This makes one wonder if his death happening at the same time as the files are supposed to be released is a coincidence or not ?

This is such a strange and sad story. Wasn’t there a report that the pills on the floor were thyroid medication?

Apparently the house was not ransacked although doors were unlocked and one was open. Were they just in the midst of their day and the end came? That seems so unlikely.

This is a sad story and it does make you wonder if they could have been murdered. I did hear that Gene Hackman's pacemaker failed which is what told them when he may have passed but I don't think that is enough to justify that it was natural causes and not foul play.
