Too old to have kids

Depends on how many kids you have. If you want to start a family, 40 is about the reliable limit, but with technology, you can push that a bit. If you are having the 6th or 7 child, age can sometimes be pushed to 50 years. Many women are putting off having kids until they are older, and that means you are more often saddled with Down's Syndrome and or issues. Men can father children into their 70s and beyond, but whether one can be an effective father to a high school student when you are 85 or 90 is another issue.

My parents went through 2 world wars and the Great Depression, so they were both in their 40’s before they had me. I think that is about as old as a person can be and be comfortable to raise kids. Most of my memories of my parents when I was growing up , they were in their 50’s, and into their 70’s by the time my kids remembered them.
I think that having kids too young might be a worse idea than having them too old though.
