The US is building a Golden Dome for protection.

For many years, Israel has had what they called the “Iron Dome” which is a kind of missile shield that protects their country. President Trump has announced that we are going to build something similar, and ours will be called the “Golden Dome”.
An interesting thing is how this is affecting Canada, which has always relied on the US for military protection .

We have always just provided that, at no cost to Canada, but the new Golden Dome is going to be a very expensive project, and Trump has said that if Canada wants the dome to protect them, too; then they are going to have to help pay for that protection, which is something like $61 billion dollars .
However, if they want to become a US territory, or something similar, then we will do it for free to continue to protect them. It will be interesting to see where this goes, and what Canada decides to do.

This topic is under discussion all over the Internet and I have to say I haven’t seen anyone who is for Canada being part of the dome or the US. However, I am interested in finding a place where ordinary citizens are lobbying for it and finding out what their reasoning is.

I’m not sure a golden dome is even feasible but if it is then I might be for it for America, although it certainly isn’t going to lower the national debt.

I can see that Canada wants us to build such a thing and just let them scooch under it and be protected for free. Protection for less than cost has worked for them for years so I’m sure their new leader thinks why not have an American built golden dome over them too.

I don’t want to annex Canada or have any closer relationship than we do now. Alberta has a lot of energy but why would we want the eastern half of the country? Why would we want more socialists who would vote for people like Kamala Harris?

As I’ve said a couple of other places, make this make sense. I’m sure Trump has a good reason for this but it’s not obvious to me.

I think it is Alberta who has been talking about leaving Canada and applying to be an American state. From what I have read, a lot of Canada is empty land with very few, if any people living there because of the harsh climate and rugged country, and most of the cities are pretty much bordering the United States. So, in truth, we would only have to extend the dome a little further north or cover Canada’s major population centers.

I can’t see the whole land mass of Canada as one state, even if a lot of it it unpopulated, but if we are going to support them and protect them like we have been doing, I think that adding Canada as some kind of a territory is feasible, and we will probably be adding Greenland, for most of the same reasons.

We still haven’t heard truth about the drone invasion that took place before the election.
