We had several tornadoes in the Huntsville area last night, starting around 6PM. There were lots of alarm sirens going off, and touchdowns in the vicinity, but they went north of where we live or south of where we are at, thankfully. One was about a mile from where my son and daughter-in-law live, but they are fine , too.
They were predicting some severe tornadoes, but from what i can read this morning, we did not have any substantial damage here. However, our power went off early last night and didn’t come on until around 2:30 this morning.
You can see from the warning cone that it was coming right over top of Huntsville, but it was apparently not on the ground when it passed through here. We had heavy wind and rain, lots of thunder and lightning, and even some hail.

It sure seems like there has been a lot of bad tornadoes already this year. We had several tornadoes last Friday move through the tri-state area. The structural engineer experts said the tornado that hit my area was a high end EF-4 with winds of 190 mph. which is the strongest tornado in the U.S. so far in 2025. It was very scary!!
