Rusty is Bobby’s outside guard dog, and he has a crate inside where he sleeps at night or stays inside in bad weather; but he prefers being outside and has never been an inside type of dog.
That is the province of my little lap dog, Marco Poodle, who was a rescue from a puppy mill; but I think that he had once been someone’s beloved pet, because he sleeps on the bed at night, and wears his pajamas in cold weather, and cries pitifully if he is locked up in any kind of a crate or dog pen.

Anyway, both dogs are now pretty old, and since Bobby is working on a remodel in the kitchen, we decided to move Rusty from his usual place just inside of the back kitchen door, to a new home in the living room, which is warmer in the winter time. So, I searched on Amazon and ordered him one of the large sized “dog playpens” which we now call “Rusty’s Condo” .
It took Rusty a few days to get used to his new sleeping place, but his Condo is much larger than his crate was, and very comfortable, and now he likes it .
Poodle checks out everything that arrives that is dog-related, and even though he HATES being in any kind of crate, he was jealous that Rusty got a condo and Poodle didn’t get one.

So, now, if Rusty goes outside and Poodle is inside, he immediately goes right into the Condo and curls up on Rusty’s rug and pretends that it is his now.

Rusty doesn't like to share? Are these the two dog that got into it last week?

Oh well, in my opinion, Poodle feels left out. Get him one too. Or if there are the to scrappers, perhaps when Rusty goes outside, Poodle takes over his castle... Only Poodle knows...

I know exactly what you're saying, Foxy is the same way about Anything Getty has, like her bed ,she thinks all beds and dog toys are hers.

Poole is a well-pampered dog, and since he is the “Housedog”, he assumes that anything dog related that comes into the house must belong to him, and Rusty owns the outside and the back yard.
Even though Poodle wants to own Rusty’s condo, he would start yowling at me if i put him in one and he had to sleep there overnight. He only wants to go inside because it is Rusty’s bedroom, and then be able to come back out when he wants to do that.

It is not my dogs who had the terrible fight last week, that was Marie’s two large dogs.
Rusty and Poodle do lie on the back porch together in the sunshine, but I am not sure if Rusty wants to share his bedroom with Poodle or not, and I am positive that Poodle would have a fit if Rusty tried to sleep on the bed with us at night like Poodle does.

dogs are so good for us most of the time, I bet Poodle gets the bed, or at least try's to.

He absolutely has to sleep right by my feet on the bed every night, and if he gets cold, he gets underneath the quilt to keep warm. He has pajamas to wear in the cold weather, too. He loves clothes !

It has been almost a month and every time that Rusty is outside and Poodle is inside, he goes right in to Rusty’s condo, snuggles up on Rusty’s bed, and does not want to come back out again, so i can let Rusty back inside.
After watching on Amazon, I found a small size one that was on sale for just $13, which is pretty cheap for the little playpens; so I ordered one for Poodle, and it should be her on Friday. Hopefully, he will like his own condo as much as he likes Rusty’s, and the door will always be open, so Poodle can go in and out as he likes. The top can be either on or off.

Poodle’s condo arrived today, and I put his bed in there, and Poodle is now happily enjoying having his very own condo.
