"Religious slandering and/or debates are not tolerated here."I think this Forum has a no Religion/no politics policy, posted in the rules section.
No mention of Politics there. Which is good, because that's why I stopped going to the Seniors Forum. They have all these forum topics that essentially invite political discussions, but say one thing and you get moderated or banned. And it wasn't politics in general, but specifically no US Politics. To ban US political discussions means no World political discussions either. Because US politics is World politics. Look at how the world economy is right now thanks to a few idiot politicians. And look who's paying for that stupidity. It surely isn't anyone in a executive government office.
I was an Administrator and or Moderator on several forums from 1998 to 2018, and on dialup boards before that. I understand why some people feel the need to ban Religious and Political discussions, because those are the two topics that bring out Stupidity vs. Intelligence arguments. I aways suggest a simple "No Arguments" rule. No matter what an argument is about, just stop it. No need to make it personal, national, or offensive.

That sounds great, @Smithy ! So far, we have just been trying to find the best place to post anything that is in any way political, and having a special area would be awesome !
Almost everything that happens in our world seems to have some political significance, and it is always good to be able to discuss what is happening . Also, if it is in a special area, then the people who are not at all interested in discussing anything political can easily avoid that section of the forum, so it helps everyone to have a designated area for political discussion.

I think that literature/reading is a great idea, too. We have an entertainment section where people post about TV shows and movies that they enjoy; so a place for those of us who prefer reading books to discuss and share about that would be a great sub-section in the Media/entertainment area.

How about a Photography Forum? I love photography, mostly landscape, but anything interesting would catch my eye. This would be a good spot for that Post Your Desktop forum...
When my friend Gary and I were riding across country I wished we had a camera, but that was too expensive for a hobby in the late 1970s. But now, with Digital Cameras everywhere there are killer photos waiting to be born everywhere you look!

There is a whole section here called “Images” for people to start any kind of photography threads, or post in the ones that have already been started there.

Images can be just about anything. But there is more to Photography than just images. For example, things like Drawings, Paintings, CAT Scans, PET Scans, Sonograms, X-Rays, etc., are all images, but they're not what I would call Photography. This is more what I have in mind...
