Songs That Ask a Question?

I like that song too,
On our first anniversary, she surprised me with front row seats for Lynyrd Skynyrd at Redwood Acres in Eureka. When we got to the concert, I headed strait up to the back row of the nose bleed seats. She says "Where are you going? I bought front row seats." I told her "You'll see why I came up here when the show starts." When they came on stage everyone on the main floor rushed the stage. I pointed down there and said "I call that the Rock Concert Rush." We enjoyed the show from the safety of the back row.

A year later, it was my turn. I bought tickets for Michael Bolton at Konocti Harbor in Kelseyville, California. No Rock Concert Rush, we enjoyed the sunset show on Clear Lake. In 24 years, I never forgot our anniversary.

So sweet, I can see she is missed and much loved.

Remember this guy? Everyone thought he was black. I like to watch black reactions to this video..

Yes, I miss her a lot. My daughter told me that she was surprised that I made past becoming a member of the Broken Hearts Club. And to be honest, so was I. But a year past and my feelings about her had not changed. We expected her to die when she went into Liver and Kidney Failure, but she lived another 14 years. But when she died, I knew she was finally pain free and in a better place. She was the love of my life, and I will miss her forever.

Yeah, I do. But I never thought about whether he was black or not, I just heard a song on the radio and if nothing else, I knew he was a good singer. I learned not to think too much about what I would see if I saw someone I had heard sing. As an example, we used to have a singer that was such a good blues singer it was mind blowing. She sent us a tape of her singing "Piece of my Heart", as performed by Janis Joplin. (It was originally recorded by Erma Franklin as a soul / jazz song, and Janis Joplin did it as a 60's hippie blues rock song.) This girl nailed that song. So I wrote her back asking if she could come to Atlanta for an audition with our agent. It turned out she was from Auburn, Alabama, where the band was based. So I talked to her on the phone and invited her to come over and jam with us.

When she walked in, I thought she was a kid. She was 5' tall, skinny as a rail and this Pat Benetar look. But he had a booming Janis Joplin voice. We were all stunned. We hired her on the spot, and she was with us for two years. Unfortunately, she proved very difficult to get along with. During a band meeting, which she always refused to be present for, we took a vote and she was voted out of the band. That really made me sad. She could really sing.

Axel , it wasn't basically about race, just back then we just had the radio, no web. Most took it for granted that he was black, everything isn't about racism. grin.
Looks like you had a good time playing music in a band, And a good woman. Sorry you lost here too soon.
