SWC has that enabled as well.

Just a little off-topic, but about forum guests. I am just looking at the stats, and we have 9 members online right now, and 114 guests ! ! That is the most guests i have seen on this forum to date.
It is maybe the SEO, and we have started threads that people are doing internet searches about…….. yea us !
When we were having the discussion about our senior’s forum ,SOC, crashing; we had over 40 people who were looking in to read about it, and after that was squelched, then most of them stopped watching.
Now, we have more threads about topics that people are searching for information about; maybe health information, and the Tesla attacks, are probably some of what is bringing in more guests.

Most of them are spam-bots trying to register but failing to get past the "Registration security system"
I have been advertising so that may gain a few guests as well.

I’d recommend discouraging those ips. That’ll stop most of them as well. I usually do it if I catch multiple ips on the same page on my forum.

I do this but spam bots have a lot of IP's.
I think that one of the things that helped us with our senior’s forum was the registration requirement to use a name that looked like an actual name. It had to have a first and last name, like “Sally Jones”, or something that could be a real name. People had the option of using an actual name or a fictional one, but most of the bots didn’t follow that requirement, so the registration was automatically declined.

I will see how the spam bot prevention goes if any get past it I will up the security.
