Maisie the Goldie and Getty the Dogo just tried to kill each other and almost caused Jake to pass out trying to separate them. Getty was really aggressive and kept trying to hook back up with Maisie.
So far, I don't see any real damage on either one.
Foxy and Leo were in the fight too, until it got vicious, then they both just ran into yard and watched them fight on the porch. We thought we had them trained not to fight each other, we didn't.

It might be that they need a lower protein diet so that they will not be as aggressive ? I know you have talked about them fighting before, but this sounds like a really serious and bad fight if all the dogs were involved.
Dr. Jarvis talks about this in his Vermont Folk Medicine book, and explains that just changing the diet can make a huge difference.
It sounds like Don Alaska has a really good idea for breaking your the fights, too; so that might be another good thing to consider. I am glad that neither you or Jake was hurt, and the dogs are okay, too !

Get a piece of plywood with a handle cut into it. If the dogs fight, grab the plywood and force it between the dogs fighting. That will break up the fight without further damage to the dogs or the handler getting bitten in the frenzy.

Don I'll sure tell Jake about that, all he had handy at the time was a Metal chair, but neither one was hurt, except a few bites and the Goldie has hair loss from bites, we will not let them be without watchful eye anymore. And we were going to take them down the river soon on the 18' Jon boat, which isn't that big with 2 large dogs who don't like each other. '

Yvonne, the other 2 dogs don't act aggressive, they just like to play, except I have a feeling Foxy likes to stir up things ,then go hide and watch.
Being out here in the woods we really need dogs that will bark, and not at the moon. We got these two last Nov. 27th so almost a year now, they are now 2 and 3 and fantastic watchdogs.
Maise the goldie almost went thru the screen to get the light man reading the meter. And Getty is real aggressive to strangers unless we invite them then she just watches.

It's like I told the pound what we wanted and these 2 were special ordered. I am afraid to brag though.

It was a metal folding chair.

Draw a circle on the wall just out of their normal reach, and tell them to put their nose in the circle for 30 minutes. This worked for my cousin and I to get us to stop fighting when we were 6, and I guarantee you the dogs are smarter that we were at the time. :ROFLMAO:
