Obamacare continuation. A scheme.

You have heard me rant about the ACA. It was designed to destroy U.S. healthcare as it existed, and it truly has done a lot toward that end so far. It now has to be subsidized by the government to even make it viable. That is all largely why Nancy Pelosi didn't want anyone to read the act before it was passed, and she famously said we have to pass this in order to see what is in it. It eliminated small medical practices, it inflated the cost of medical insurance for every American and it restricted access. I recall one of my sons remarking that his employer-provided healthcare plan tripled the amount of copay and co-insurance, and quadrupled the amount of deductible for his family. The passage of the ACA was the worst thing to happen to the U.S. healthcare system, and, sadly, that is exactly what it was intended to be.

More information about what was along with the Obamacare bill. Pelosi saying that we have to pass it to see what is in it was completely ridiculous. They are supposed to have time to read bills before they are passed. Too me, this is actually one of the tings that AI will be helpful for. It can read the large bills, and then give a concise synopsis of the what all is covered in the bill, and then lawmakers can look up parts that they want to read about in depth.
