I don't know where to post this, but Smitty or Yvonne can move this wherever they wish. We had more goings-on in our area last night when our nearest neighbor called to inform us that there were 7 Trooper cars on our little dead-end road. They were reportedly searching for a man with a gun in the woods somewhere in our area. Wife and I were sitting on the deck enjoying the end of warm weather when the call came from the neighbor. We have no idea what was going on or what kind of gun was involved. This kind of police response is very unusual here, and hunting is allowed in this area, so there must have been something happening that was different. A drug user was shot in our area some time ago, and that perhaps was the reason for the police response. Not knowing what was happening, we came into the house and watched the security cameras to see if anything was detected. Nothing appeared near our place, and the police eventually left. We don't know if they apprehended the person, or if they gave up searching, but there doesn't seem to be any information available.

Don, we used to have a neighborhood Watch here but that stopped years ago. People don't seem to get involved anymore. If there ever was a time to be on watch for things, it's now.

We only have a few people in the area and we look out for each other. Like I said, the closest neighbor called us. He can see the road from his house, but we cannot.
