Hilarious podcast on a horrific situation. CAUTION: This couple uses colorful language.

Campbells Soup VP: We Make SH*T for F*cking POOR PEOPLE!

Commenting on a Michigan story about the New Jersey "food" corporation.

3D-printed chicken???

I have been reading about that on Twitter/X, and it is pretty bad news for the Campbell company, and happening right at the holiday season when people are wanting their green bean casseroles and gravy mixes with the cream of mushroom or chicken soup added.
If Campbell Soups are doing this, then probably the store brand is not any better since lot of the store brands are just from a major company and relabeled with the store brand.

Classic tradeoff between convenience ad quality I suppose. So you pick your poison, eyes open as wide as practical.

I'm sure making a good cream of mushroom soup is reasonable, given the fresh, frozen, or dried ingredients are on-hand. But the cost, time, effort, and cleanup seems like as much effort as making the entire dish you wanted to use the soup in.

I suppose somebody picky and patient enough could make fresh and freeze portions for later recombination instead of using canned. But the novelty probably wears off pretty darned fast.
