No, not in forever.

As a kid I played cornet. Mine got stolen and the school lent me and switched me to a baritone horn. I finished out the school year but I was sort of priced out of band by that.

I never picked up guitar or anything. I do own a cheap ocarina to play around with but I didn't stick with it.

My sons were all into music though. They played various instruments and were in both high school and more raggedy college bands and such in the 1990s and early 2000s.

But yeah, in reality I'm with you.
