Last time you went Abroad?

I have never been abroad. However, my daughter is living and working in the Netherlands, and i would love to go on a vacation trip and visit her there. My family on my mother’s side immigrated fro Germany, and if i went to the Netherlands , we would be close enough to maybe go and see where my grandmother grew up at before she came to the United States.

The last time I went aboard, it was a cruise to the Bahamas. I don't remember exactly when it was, but it was 8 or 9 years ago.

I have never been abroad. It was never something that my parents could afford, and even after growing up, it hasn't been something I have considered.

I would like to go to a few places though, New York, South Korea are two places :)

In 2000, we went to the Canada. That was a gloriously fun vacation. It rained all but one day, out of three weeks. So we went hotel hopping in the rain. The day it did not rain was the one day we crossed the border at Abbotsford, BC. I told the guard we were going to Whistler for breakfast, when it was 11:00a. (It was 118 miles / 190 km away.)

He look at me and said "Do you know how far it is to Whistler from here?" I said "Yep." He shrugged and said ok, and was about to let us go. Then I said "One day of driving." His smile was made up all laugh. Then I told him we were just going to Vancouver for the day, and we would probably have dinner at Denny's. :coffee:

The Canada?

This is what happened when you forget to write words... That was supposed to say the Okanagan Valley in BC, Canada. Since it rained almost the whole trip, that literally was a $2,000 vacation down the drain.

However, I am still wondering if Canada counts as "Abroad" from the US... It's right next door.
