Last thing you bought

The last thing I bought was a drink for myself and some coffee for my son.

I just ordered some groceries from Walmart, so just stocking up on basics. Granola for breakfast, some milk and cream to make more yogurt, salad greens, and some construction paper. I am going to try using that to make the little caps for the aerogarden grow baskets. They come with little covers, but those wear out and need to be replaced.
I tried using aluminum foil, but it didn’t work out very well, so I thought I can cut the little circles out of the construction paper and use that and replace them as needed.

Probably like most people, I've been staying hunkered down when it comes to purchases.

Something that I bought last year is a small quartz radiant heater I can run as low as 300 watts. This is helpful in the really cold months with a back room that I need to keep above freezing. I can run it at 600 if need be, but 300 can run quite a while on battery power using my solar power stations if electricity fails.

It worked out so well that I wanted a second unit as a backup and for miscellaneous fill-in heating. Sadly, the original sold out shortly after I bought it and remains out of stock.

But now I found a very similar unit on sale so I grabbed it:

As with the original, I can run the upper element, the lower, or both. I normally run one, but I alternate usage to prolong life. No fan so no noise and really nothing to gum up and fail over time. It also doesn't draw air through so dust accumulation and drying of the room air is all but non-existent.

I don't consider these child- or pet-safe since they are thin and sit upright. But I have no loose critters here to get burned on them or topple them over onto a pile of oily rags.

I haven't bought one, but I'm thinking about it a a gift.

I had no idea they made a bathroom device specifically for heating bath towels, robes, or I suppose etc. Might be quite the cold-climate luxury one might get used to having in Winter. Prices from like $75 to $125, so perhaps not just cheap junk?

Here's a round tub style unit with the top off. Some are rectangular and take folded towels.

6 foot cord. Not that you want cords snaking 'round the bathroom, but not everyone has outlets where you'd want them.

$12 gift:

Illuminated hand/stand magnifier, about a 4 inch big lens and a small high-power lens for looking at fine detail.

Great for reading labels on stuff. Or I suppose examination of fine details on your gold coins. :ROFLMAO:

Actually, Bobby bought this, and also hung it up in the bedroom, but we will both enjoy it; so I am posting about it here. It is a black light tapestry, and it looks really pretty on the bedroom wall, and Bobby put the black lights up above it, that really makes it glow.
Now, i am thinking about maybe getting one to throw across the bed, too, since the lights would also work in it, I believe.
