Cold weather has returned to most of the United States, and definitely to here in northern Alabama, and when that happens, it is time to end Gardening Season and get ready for Knitting Season.
(This also includes crocheting, of course)
Right now, I am making another little throw rug from the plastic grocery bags and some yarn. I enjoy making those little rugs, and they last forever. I think that this one might end up being a seat cover on my recliner, and then I might even make a lap rug to match it, if I decide to do that.

Making plastic yarn (called “plarn”) is easy to do. I save my grocery bags, fold and cut them into strips and then link the strips together to make a ball of plarn, and by using a colorful ball of yarn along with the plarn, the throw rugs come out nice and colorful.
Here is an example of one that I made several years ago, using white grocery bags and brown grocery bags. You can see the brown ones in the turquoise part of the rug. .

My wife crochets and quilts but does not knit. I once did knitting as a boy because my mother was an accomplished knitter, but I haven't done it for 50 years or more. I did some rug hooking when I was recovering from my broken back, as my father-in-law found rug hooking helpful when he had a heart attack, but I no longer do that either.

My goodness that's neat.

That is brilliant, Marie. My mother was a genius at knitting. Sadly, I never inherited her talent as I have no manual dexterity or motor skills whatsoever.

Me either Mama. I tried to crochet a few decades ago, Not too good at it, I preferred being outside playing ball, so much to do inside as it was, now if I start with yarn the floors will not get mopped, windows stay dirty, etc, etc, etc, and what little gardening I do will not get done.
I threw the ball for the Goldie, Maisie and realized that was a bad idea, My shoulder is healed now though.
Seems shoulder would be ok with all the vacuuming and mopping, but it's not.

I finished socks for my grandson, and slippers for his wife and 2 daughters. I will get them sent out in the mail early next week. Now, I am working on socks for my son and his wife again. I started those before the ones for my grandson, but have been slowly working on both of them , depending on which project I was in the mood to work on.
