I am reading reports that Iran has reportedly fired an Intercontinental Ballistic Missile for the first time. It is said to make all of Europe and the UK within range. The U.S. is about twice as far, so it may not be able to reach the U.S. or Canada yet, but this is disturbing news nonetheless. If Iran does in fact have a nuclear weapon, and if they can manage (with Russian or Chinese help) to put that weapon onto this missile, the Middle East Problem becomes a world problem.

This is not good news, to say the least.

Israel seems almost desperate for excuses to escalate against Iran. I've been hearing that the regime had been funding Charlie Kirk. The hope was the rousing of young men to be willing Christian Soldiers to serve as a generation of cannon fodder in a ground war on Israel's behalf. We saw this movie in Iraq and Afghanistan already, but a new twist is being added.

Maybe this is why England and France are supporting a Palestinian state. The useless UN meetings this week will at least be interesting.

Trump had promised to get the US out of the regime change and foreign wars business. But he's taking actions that make supporters less and less happy.

Even the first 5 minutes here might grind your gears.

Much of Europe is said to be recognizing a Palestinian state, but I am not convinced that they realize the consequences of such action. Maybe the UN will designate the coastal sections of California as a "Wacko Leftist state". It would be essentially the same type of action. Israel has owned what is Palestinian territory since the 1967 war when the surrounding Arab states were defeated and lost territory. Israel has allowed the Palestinians to have self rule in those territories under pressure from the UN. If the UN (and other nations) can form a new state from an existing country, Wales and Scotland could be declared independent. Parts of Germany and France could as well. Quebec could be named as a new nation, and the list goes on. The consequences of such action could cause chaos. Italy is in uproar because they will not recognize part of Israel as an independent country that will be at constant war with its neighbor. I don't support what Netanyahu is doing, but I certainly don't think a two-state solution is the answer. In fact, that was offered to Yasser Arafat by Bill Clinton with the Oslo Accords and he turned it down. The Palestinians just want to fight and that is why nobody wnats them. Jordan expelled them years ago because they were an unmanageable group who always wanted to be at war.
