I just saw the AI-generated meme that is causing the Democrats so much heartache. Memes now seem to the political cartoons of past ages.

Political cartoons may have changed, and whether they are made by human or AI is irrelevant. They're still just cartoons.

I recall reading that L. Frank Baum's "Oz" books were originally an allegorical way to express concern about changes in the currency and financial system. This was around the time of the robber barons and rise of Wall Street power. Dorothy's Magic Slippers were silver (not ruby, a change made for the movie just to add more color). The Yellow Brick Road was the monetary gold standard. The Emerald City was Washington D.C. The witches were tycoons. Oz itself being the U.S.

So basically.. a long-form "political cartoon."
