How did you find that? lol I made it and never really use it.
Welcome 2009. Is 2009 your birth year?
Hello! I know what you mean when you see something you made ages ago and someone finds it. I made this image for a photoshopping contest in something like 2008. I had registered for the Seniors Forum and all I think I had posted at that point was an intro. One of the people there (that is now here) recognized my name and had a copy of the image and asked if it was me. It's not, but it looks like I did in 2008. My face, anyway. The photo is Adrian Smith of Iron Maiden, from their Somewhere Back In Time Tour 2008. I lost track of that image years ago, and I was in shock to see it posted on a forum I had just joined over a decade later. How did you find that? lol I made it and never really use it.

The original photo was huge (for that time) at 6k x 4k. After I photoshopped it, I cropped part of it and that is what you see here, albeit not in the original size. Whoever copied it did a terrible job of resizing the image, and now it's all blurry.
By the way, do you get people asking if you are a Grateful Dead fan? That was my first thought...
I searched and there it was....magic!How did you find that? lol I made it and never really use it.
Yeah, I do. As far as playing music goes, I have been a Blues Rocker since I was 15. (Before that it was Bach, Mozart, Paganini, etc.) But as far as listening to music goes I like just about anything except twangy country, rap, hip hip, etc. The list of stuff I like is huge, but there's also a ton of stuff I don't. My favorite band is, of course, The Allman Brothers Band.Did you like Iron Maiden? Who was your favorite band of all?
I always liked the Alman Brothers. Not so much Iron Maiden then again most of my days were motherhood, music was part time enjoyment. I still love music and listen to it daily.Yeah, I do. Over the years we spent on the road, I have a ton of memories that I hope I never forget. Since you asked if I like Maiden, here's one you might get a kick out of. Back in the "One Nighters Era" as we started calling it after about 15 years, we would take breaks from the road every now and then. Work-a-holic that I am, I would always get a job at a National Park Hotel as a Night Auditor. That kept me busy enough to let the band take a break, but also keep my accounting skills that I learned from my grandmother up to par.
So we were taking a few months off and I was working at the Defiance House Lodge in Bullfrog, Utah. I had worked for the same company in Page, Arizona a couple of times at Wahweap Lodge, but when I went back there were no openings, but they offered me the Senior Auditor position in Bullfrog. After I got there, I saw why they were having a hard time finding an Auditor. It's five hours by car to both Page, Arizona and Salt Lake City, Utah. And I didn't have a car. I quickly learn why people hate "Company Towns", I worked for them, I rented my trailer from them, I bought my food from them... I did have a nice back yard though!
I was in my trailer at about 9:00 AM on my "Saturday" that was actually a Tuesday, and everyone who lived anywhere near me was at work, and I could play as loud as I wanted to. I was practicing by playing along with Maiden's Piece of Mind album. (On CD, of course.) It was 100° outside so I had my front door open. I was doing what I usually did, play really fast stuff first to loosen up my fingers, and then run through our set list. As I was playing with the Maiden album, I noticed this teenage kid standing outside watching me play through the front door. I invited him to come in, and finished playing the album.
Afterwards we talked for awhile. He had the usual questions, how long I had been playing guitar, was I in a band, etc. Then he asked me "But aren't you a little old to be playing Iron Maiden?" I laughed so had my sides hurt. I asked him "You don't know very much about Maiden, do you?" He said "No, why?"
"Because all but one of them are all older than I am."![]()
