Hegseth and Trump reveal why the big meeting is being held

Here again Don, I don't agree, war is terrible thing. I think Eisenhower was right,

" Beware the military industrial complex". Although he did attack the vets he fought alongside in WW1,

The Bonus Army was a group of World War I veterans who marched on Washington, D.C., in 1932 to demand early payment of bonuses promised by the government, highlighting the struggles of Americans during the Great Depression.

I agree that war is a terrible thing, but that does prevent it from occurring. The "Rape and Pillage" theory of human development depended on war, but usually on a smaller scale than what we have today. If you recall, some of the wars in the past lasted for decades or even a century.

I heard a rich guy today talking about the meeting. His impression was that Trump made a mistake in trying to separate the loyal among the attendees. Being wealthy, he was no fan of Trump or even the other side as far as I can tell. My guess is he doesn't even vote, maybe knowing it's all a scam?

But his take on this is that the "disloyal" might be pushed into working within a cabal of opposing interests and possibly strengthening in a very bad way. He didn't say "coup" or "civil war" but pretty much everything but say it.

Personally I've always been uncomfortable with the US military branches' leadership being so centered on their Confederate East Coast institutions. Virginia is a pit of Deep State vipers.

Jacob could you please explain what you just said? I'm sure it's not you but this being one of my senile days.

I don't agree with everything that Trump is doing, but this administration is such a delightful change from the last that I cannot complain too much. The generals and admirals are all political animals. They have to be to get flag rank. The real fighters usually stop at the colonel/captain level. I don't think the Coast Guard was included in this despite them thinking they are military. The Coasties are not part of the Pentagon, do not fall under the authority of the Secretary of War, and are not military unless the President declares them to be part of the Navy.

I understand the possibility of a conspiracy developing among the flag officers, but few, if any, have such a loyal following among those under them that they would defy the Commander-in-Chief to follow the general or admiral even if there were enough flags to make a difference. In addition, I think the Administration already knows who is not aligned with them. General Caine is one of the few with a following, and he was pulled from retirement to serve as Chairman of the JCS. He was selected for the reason that he was admired by lower ranks and was "jumped" over flag officers senior to him to get the top position.

Basically, this guy was saying that Trump may have pushed some unfriendlies among the Generals and Admirals to conspire against him.

Ok thanks Jacob. Nothing they do would surprise me. Now things are so strange conspiracies are easier to decipher than facts.
LOL I just made my own head hurt with that one.

I suppose if the meeting wasn't about this, it may have been partially a preparation for this:

The UK and EU nations seem to have left Putin little choice but to get even more belligerent. I hope the US can find a path to avoid getting sucked into the bullshit this time around.

I can't really figure out why Europe is so enthusiastic about flushing itself down the toilet one more time. This time around they may end up with China, India, and much of the Middle East taking Russia's side.

Sadly, due to demonetization and ad-blocking a lot of 'Tubers are running ads within their videos now. Sorry about that, but you can skip over that part once it starts.

Most of what he says in the video is true. If Europe can't find a way to get the U.S. involved, they will be annihilated by Russia. If they do find a way, we will be destroyed with them, as China will quickly attack our resources in and around the Pacific. The U.S. is no longer capable of fighting a two-front war. Hopefully, Trump is wise enough to keep us out of it. Both France and the UK have sent notices to their hospitals to prepare for mass casualties
