Having your vehicle cleaned

Do you clean your vehicles yourself or do you go to a local vehicle washing place?

I hear a lot of bad stories in my area were local jet washing places having scratched and damaged vehicles, which is why I always clean my vehicles myself.

I've never had a vehicle cleaned at a car wash. When I was living in rental apartments, I'd go to those DIY places where you throw in quarters and race around on a timer to get everything rinsed off. I don't think that counts.

I wash, wax, and clean my own car but not near as often as I used too. I use to wash my car every week; sometimes twice. That hasn't happened for at least the past 5 years. I'm lucky to wash my car once a month now. In the winter months, I drive through the car wash, which doesn't do a good job at all. I used to hand wash my car in the winter months too. I would dress for the cold and use warm water to wash my car. I just can't do the things I use to do. I must be getting old.
