He is an American economist and public policy analyst who is a professor at Columbia University

What strikes me about his take is that he works for US based schools and government and is paid by them ( I imagine ), yet he sounds so disparaging about US policy. Are we really the one's causing these wars, or at least encouraging them? IDK what to think. If what he says is true, I have to rethink my understanding of American foreign policy.

Like this short video of him describing how China is doing so good and we should stay friendly with them.?

I think we should stay as friendly to all as possible, long as the trade is fair trade is almost has always been good for all involved.
I don't like the idea we allowed 5 American auto assembly plants to go to Canada and Mexico. lost lots of American blue-collar middle-income jobs.

Fair trade? Try finding something at any store that's not Made in China. The idea was that we would let other less developed countries manufacture textiles, etc. and the US would manufacture electronics, etc. But it seems that China is making everything. US manufacturers have to pay high wages. China manufactures don't.
