Mostly foreign of course but we also have our home-grown gangsters, nothing new of course remember the Italian immigrant Mafia's of the early 1900's? But even they weren't as bold as these.

It is going to get worse. Robberies are being threatened by thousands of welfare Tik-Tokkers who have been uncovered as frauds and had their benefits cut off.

The lack of any self-consciousness or remorse is hard to fathom.

Of course they threaten, so far they basically get away with it. Every one of them that steal should do some time in jail.

When I was young vagrancy aka homelessness was against the law.
Of course, back then we had plenty of low income apts for the poor. As the nation started filling up with illegals, the low-income housing was taken over by non-Americans. This was the fault of the socialist and the citizens who no longer stood up to the leaders who financially gained from them.
All empires fall for basically the same reason.

I have been reading about this and listened to some of them complaining and threatening on their little boo-hoo videos. One video-maker said they are all planning on going to Walmart stores at the same time of day, loading up their carts and making a run for it, claiming that Walmart employees can’t catch all of them before they escape with the stolen loot.
Some of them seem to just want to do violence, like it is the store’s fault that they didn’t get an EBT allowance in November.

The EBT actually comes out at different times of the month for different people, I think it depends on either your last name (A-Z), or maybe SS number; but not everyone gets theirs on the first day of the month, so by the time the month actually starts, some of the people who get their EBT later might not even have a problem, and it is only some of the states that are saying that people won’t get any food stamps in November.

Some people on X are suggesting that we need to be careful when we go shopping, or do our shopping online, until this gets straightened out, in case there is wholesale rioting and looting of stores, especially this weekend coming up.
I pretty much do all my shopping online with delivery from Walmart anyway, so not going to the stores won’t be an issue for us.

I have read similar things @Yvonne Smith. I think stores that sell food will be the hardest hit, but I cannot imagine much happening here as an awful lot of people here are armed. I think stores will take precautions in high crime areas and limit the numbers of people in the store at any one time and limit the exits as well to the number of shoppers. We'll see what happens.

I am reading that a number of major cities, Houston among them, are recruiting NYPD officers. Some see Mamdani's plan to reduce the NYPD budget as a threat to the security of the NYPD personnel since the very large majority of the budget--supposedly over 90%--is personnel. We'll see. Florida cities are also recruiting as the population there grows.
