Been wanting one for a while now but something else came up and it was put off.
Now when trail walks are too uncomfortable, I can walk inside. Although I prefer walking in the woods sometimes that is no fun, bugs, heat here in Florida are the main problem.
I'll still walk in the woods most days, now I have the another option.

I have a treadmill that I use almost every day throughout the winter. I was once an avid hiker, and I still like to walk. It is very difficult for old people to walk outside here in the winter, so the treadmill is my substitute. My wife cannot use it, as it seems to bother her feet and legs but I have no problem with it. Since I have been having all my aches and pains this spring, I have stopped walking much of anywhere, but as the pain ebbs, I hope to get back to outside activity. I hope you enjoy it @Marie Mallory and that it doesn't become a "clothes hangar". Use discipline and make yourself use it at least 10 minutes a day, then increase as you are comfortable.

Don, I think I'll use it but who knows, thanks for the encouragement.
Yesday I did my walk around the trails, at first I just wanted to turn back around or get on the golfcart with hybby. I wasn'r feeling gfood and did not want to walk. But I pushed myself and by the time I was halfway i started feeling better.
2 days ago I cut my forearm pretty bad on a jagged tree limb so I've been putting salt on it a few times a day because it started getting infected. It looks better today.
We have so much hurricane damage to forest.Hubby scares me using the chain saw on the huge trees.

Treadmills are safer for older folks, as they usually have rails that can prevent falls. The "terrain" is even and should be trip-free. You can also use them in all types of weather. They are damaging to some people's joints, especially if they run on them rather than walk. You can also use a stationary bike, but I hate those, so I don't have one. They are easier on the knees but harder on the butt and associated areas.

Mine should be here this weekend. I think it will come in handy. I just got back a hour ago from my walk, took the Dogo Getty with us ,jake led her since she was really pulling. We have to teach her to walk on a lease.
It will be 90F in a couple days treadmill will be handy on those days for sure. Unless I get up at 5am.
