My impression is that Musk feels betrayed by Trump backing the "Big Beautiful Bill" that would add trillions to the national debt after he (musk) worked so hard and suffered so much cutting waste from the government. Trump is Trump with a big ego and figures he should get credit for everything.

But at its core I think they are collaborating to split their common enemies into two camps so they can get things done with less resistance.

I hope Musk doesn’t do this but in America any of us can fund any candidate we want. A threat is not appropriate.

The problem Elon Musk has is the same as many Trump Supporters have. It's kind of like the TV I bought when we moved to Edison. It looked good at the store, but after I got it home I wasn't happy with it. Buyer's Remorse. The difference is Musk donated $288M to Trump's campaign, a drop in the bucket to the world's richest idiot, but there are people who claim Trump cost them everything. I say think it over carefully before you vote, because you can't return politicians you are not happy with, like I could have done with that TV.
