Elon Musk and DOGE saving America ! (Political)

Biden's administration padded the employment rolls with government employees to make employment numbers look good, all the while legitimate jobs were destroyed and sent to China and Mexico. Trump is bringing those back with tariffs and incentives so the 'common' Americans cans get real jobs.
If you check out the US debt clock site you will see we were being sent over a cliff after decades of ignoring the need for a governmental balanced budget.

Biden also ran up the debt with government spending to make the GDP look better. 30% of the U.S. GDP at one point was government spending. We are now bringing in $2 billion a day in tariffs according to Trump. He wants to do away with income tax for those earning $150,000 or less. No one is clear what he wants to do with capital gains.
 
We all were in shock before when we started hearing about not only just the illegals who were getting SS checked every month, but also the huge amount of people well over 100+ years old who were receiving SS checks every month. Those checks were going to someone who was cashing them every month, and it probably was not just unscrupulous family members still getting Grandpa’s SS pension.
Some of it probably was something like that, but with a such of it as was happening, it was an organized process happening for the majority of it.

Now, they are finding out that the same thing has been happening with unemployment checks ! Apparently, it is not just babies and people over 100+ years old who are getting the unemployment checks, but even babies who do not exist yet.
I can’t imagine how it can go through the system to allow birthdays in years that we have not even got to yet, but apparently the unemployment computers do not filter those kinds of things out.
They are just coming out with the information on this, so I have not heard how many millions/billions of dollars of fraud this one is; but at least it has been found and will be stopped now.
I wonder if this is happening with the veterans pension and disability checks also ?
 
Here are preliminary numbers and more information about the unemployment benefits that have been being paid out. This is from a post on X, and apparently came out at the Cabinet meeting today.

The Department of Labor just revealed some SHOCKING numbers on fraud at the agency:

- "25,000 people who are over 115 years old and have been collecting $59M in payments."

- "28,000 people between one and five years old have collected fraudulent payments to the tune of $254 million."

- "10,000 people who have not been born yet, 15 years into the future, $69 million, and they have not been born yet."

- "In one case, they will be born 129 years from now. The United States government sent them $41,000."
 
There seems to be a great deal more to USAID than the media have been willing to discuss at any length.

It seems the agency even has a nickname "The CIA's Little Sister." It's a tentacle of the military-industrial complex, largely focused on regime change and psyops to drive opinion and action among populations worldwide. Oh, and of course they've never acted within the US, right? Right?

I think that it means he has done the job of getting everything set up and working properly for DOGE. I believe that he will still be overseeing things, along with President Trump, but he has enough people trained and with expertise to continue the job that DOGE is doing.
Musk and Trump both said originally that this would continue until next year around July when we have the 250th anniversary celebration on July 4th, 2026, and then they would have worked themselves out of a job; so nothing that they are doing is going to stop for at least another year or so.

Sure, but my worry is that opposition may decide that violence, property destruction, lawfare, and targeted stock market vandalizing is the right way forward in opposing one thing after another.

Rather than relaxing and enjoying the fruits of what Trump is trying to accomplish they seem hell-bent on defeating progress.
 
I think that you are right, @Jacob Petersheim , and the crazy-people (which is only a few of the Dems plus lots of paid protesters) are going to do that in any case.
They did this the whole time that Trump was President before, attacking any company that supported the president, and even federal offices, and occupied whole parts of cities like Seattle.
They didn’t attack Tesla cars or dealers because Elon Musk was not involved at that time, but they sure burned down other car lots of any kind, and made heros out of killers, and just plain were disruptive in any way that they could be.

That worked for them last time, and violence seems to be their only playbook, so they will be doing that again, and would do it even if Musk had not offered to set up DOGE.
The difference this time, is that President Trump has a lot more control over law enforcement, and LEO’s pretty much supported Trump everywhere, even in blue cities.
They are already starting to arrest these paid rioters, plus they have cut off a lot of their funding through USAID being halted, so they can’t easily fund the massive amounts of protesters that they hired before.

I believe that President Trump is prepared for whatever they try to do, and will handle it this term, and we have already seen fuel and food prices getting better just in a few months.
Of course, I am an optimist, so there is that……
 
I was shocked to realize how virulent the TDS still is out there, and if anything it seems to trigger such people even more today if Elon Musk's name comes up.

I sat through 2 hours of a YouTube video today where two UK comedians with an interview show had a 3rd UK "comedian" as a guest. What a trashbag full of neuroses! She calls herself "Guilty Feminist" and styles herself as one trying to reform the hard, hard left and "build bridges" to the bulk of society. But wow, just wow.

Early on, Trump and Musk came up and I couldn't tell whether she was going to flap and fly around the ceiling or finally crap out some gigantic egg and get relief. She seems to feel that everything in the US is within her purview to critique and correct, yet her words expose her as a total fraud who knows nothing factual about US history or current cultural issues.

She went pretty hard, then passive-aggressive, then resorted to name calling... mostly directed at one of these guys. The other guy hardly spoke aside from giving personal life examples of his own which she dismissed. She pointed out Andrew Tate and Jordan Peterson, claiming they are basically equivalent. When the guys tried to move the discussion back on track she repeatedly called them "controlling."

Frankly she came off as a caricature "PMSing nutjob" if not clinically psychotic with a well-practiced mask. She seemed on the verge of screaming or maybe bawling or just walking out many times.

It seems she's written a book. She kept saying "I have a whole chapter about that" in response to issues but wasn't interested in clueing anyone in. The woman dripped with narcissism.

Mary the American youth don't want "real jobs", they don't like labor any more streinuous than clicking on a keyboard.
We have 1000s of unfilled jobs now. The hand that rocked the cradle left for the boardroom.
Did you see the Dr.Phil video about Gen Z on labor?
 
I just hope they can stay in another term. Hopefully this last administration opened up some of the sane dems eyes and even more vote Trump if he sticks to his promises on major issues like illegal's.
 
So, today, the internet is on FIRE ! The latest reports are that Elon and Trump are all-out fighting. Elon did post some really strange things on X, that make it look like they are on the outs.
He has said that Trump is in the Epstein files, and for the last couple of days, he has been ranting against the Big Beautiful Bill that Trump wants passed. He insinuated that Trump should be dumped and JD Vance assume the presidency. And other things of a similar nature.

It was only last week that President Trump was congratulating Musk and gave Musk the Keys to the White House ; so this sudden turnabout seems really strange to me, and it has everyone on X trying to figure it out and even taking sides.

If Trump were involved with Epstein, this would have come out way before now, and the liberals would have used it against him if there were even a smidgeon of proof that Trump was involved.
However, now that Elon has made this assertion, the left is screaming for the Epstein files to be brought out, so it is quite possible that this was the plan all along, and Trump and Elon had planned this maneuver just for this to happen.
If Elon actually thought that Trump was a pedophile, there is no way that he would have allowed Trump to be with his children like he has been doing, and enjoying being part of the Trump family at Mar-a-Lago; so I think this is something different than it appears to be.
 
I haven't looked at the tussle yet but I think I'll dig into it next. Without knowing anything about it, I'm wondering whether this might be something they are doing strategically.
 
This is the behavior of 5 yr olds who don’t get their way. Their mamas didn’t spank their butts when they needed it and it’s too late now.

Amid a bitter public feud with President Donald Trump on Thursday, business tycoon Elon Musk announced that SpaceX would start "decommissioning its Dragon spacecraft immediately," only to reverse course hours later.

Musk made the initial announcement about decommissioning Dragon after President Donald Trump issued a post on Truth Social declaring, "The easiest way to save money in our Budget, Billions and Billions of Dollars, is to terminate Elon’s Governmental Subsidies and Contracts. I was always surprised that Biden didn’t do it!"

Musk did an about-face a little more than five hours after his initial Dragon decommission declaration.

An account on X with the handle @Fab25june wrote to Musk, "This is a shame this back and forth. You are both better than this. Cool off and take a step back for a couple days."

Good advice. Ok, we won’t decommission Dragon," Musk replied.
