What small things are you fretting about today?

Today, for me, it is laundry. Really no biggie, but somehow I am two days late. I thought of starting this thread last night as I was awakened and needed to visit the bathroom, but waited until the situation became unpleasant. Why do I do that, knowing it isn't going to magically go away?

I don't know why as I grow older, I sweat the small stuff when as the old saying goes, "There are bigger fish to fry."

I hate talking to myself, but alas that seems to be my destiny.

Today my calendar isn't scribbled with anything meaning that nothing of importance is planned for today. How did it get to be Saturday already? Time flies when you get old. I used to say time flew because I worked in high paced, very technical jobs where there was never enough time. After retiring, time still flew because I had several hobbies I had set goals to accomplish. I accomplished all my goals and time still flies. I think it has to do with gray hair.

I am not sweating anything small today and I don't have anything large to sweat about, but the day is young.

I still have a lot of yard work to do and just don't want to do it. I made a list of the job and prioritized them by difficulty and time it will take to do them. Looking at the list, I see several small jobs that I can do in an hour or so. I just moved them to my no sweat list.

My sweat list is about 3 hours of work that I should be able to start early since the weather is perfect. Yesterday at 74F, sunny, with no wind. I spent the day in light jeans, since I had lots of weed eating to do, with just my sports bikini bra on top. I covered my sports bra with a light tee shirt half hour on and half off. That kept me from any sunburn, yet did allow me to soak up some natural D in the privacy of my back yard.

Looking at the clear starry sky, it looks like another beautiful day in the making.

The sin seems hotter now, guess it's just my tolerance.

Earth to @Faye 2.0 How are you doing? I hope you are doing well.

The phrase comes from a book by Richard Carlson called “Don’t Sweat the Small Stuff”. The book encourages readers to let go of unnecessary stress and focus on what really matters in life. Understanding this background can help you use the idiom more effectively.

One of the most valuable things I ever learned, I learned from Reader's Digest a long time ago. The article was, "Does it matter?" Will it matter a year from now, do it. If it won't, let it go. Or something like that. ☺️

What is this earth to Faye smit? I am not an "astronaut" like those brave, fearless, daring, daredevil boundary breaking ladies of the Blue Origin.

Yeah, I know about Carlson and his book. I was going to title this thread, Don't Sweat the Bull Smit, which is what I say, but thought maybe that was too strong for all the sensitive ears aboard the Good Ship Lolli Pop. Also, Don't let the Wankers give you a Wedgie, came to mind but I thought maybe a bit strong for some. :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

Serious Note: I am alive and now realize the Neurologist years ago wasn't joking when he said I would probably live to an old age, but I wouldn't be happy about it. While the state of my myelin sheath hasn't deteriorated as would be the case in MS, natural aging deterioration has led to more nerve pains, some downright disabling, especially those in my head.
