Doctors

I am generally pretty healthy but I go to the doctor when I have too; if I am not feeling well, or have a concern, but mostly I try to avoid them! I usually go see my doctors for my annual checkups. They always send me a reminder when it's time to come in.

I see my dentist twice a year for dental checkups. My primary doctor I "might" see once a year for annual blood work and a check-up. My GYN, I see once a year for a wellness woman examine. My dermatologist once a year for a skin check, and my eye doctor once a year for eye examine.

Just don't turn your back on one or let them put you to sleep.
No telling what they'll plant in your body while asleep.
The gangsters put ' not one ' but two stents in my heart after lying like hell they wouldn't. Said just going in to look around and I wake up with a, molested heart!!!

Last doctor visist for anything other than bloodwork and blood pressure meds, we haven't been to a doctor for a visit since 2019.
Although I did go to er for respiratory virus RSP? gave me steroids for it in 2023. Gone with 2 steroid pills. I'm always scared of lung x'rays.
And hubbys very painful kidney stones in 2024. Flomax, Antibiotics.

We appreciate most doctors we just had a couple really bad experiences so are careful. Also had some very lifesaving experiences too.

I normally only went to a doctor when I thought something was wrong that I couldn't handle myself---almost never. However now I take one prescription drug, and the doctor tries to hold me hostage. Tried to schedule appt every 3 months. I would make the appointment, then cancel later. Then every 6 months. I've managed to avoid them except once a year.

I don't like to waste Medicare money that could be used on someone who is really sick. Why do they do this? I think it's because I have good insurance.

Depending on the drug @Nancy Hart. Some are quite dangerous to the kidneys and liver especially.

Last summer I stabbed my finger with a garden implement and since it was after 5, I went to an urgent care for a tetnus shot which I not had since I had horses. I was told I did not have a doctor any more because I had not seen one for so long. I don't go on a regular schedule.;) But they gave me my shot and insisted on a band-aid.

You must be in good health if you've not seen a doctor for a while. :D

I last saw my doctor in October and last had any scans or tests done in January which was an MRI scan, all came back clear so going to have to speak to my doctor again about the headaches.

Some Docs are just quacks. I saw a Doc in Phoenix for back pain after I fell in 1994, and he said that if I did not have fusion surgery I would be in a wheelchair in five years. Four years later I moved from Flagstaff to Eureka by bicycle. I made the joke in 2020 to my pain management Doc in Eureka, that my bike has wheels and a seat, does that count as a wheelchair?

I love Arizona, but I'm glad I don't live there now. Every Doc I saw there was a complete whacko except one.

I see my doctor once a year for a complete checkup. I see her at six months in between so that she can make her next car payment. 😊
