Do you have any health problems?

I have moving pain at the moment and nobody seems to know why. It started in my right foot on the sole like plantar fasciitis, then moved to my right knee. One morning that pain vanished and reappeared on my left side at the knee. It then moved to my left foot. I went to two doctors and the second decided to inject steroids into my left knee to see if it would go away. It did...for one day, then reappeared and moved down into my left foot as well. Naproxen helps at prescription strength but the pain is still pretty bad. Lidocaine patches don't work at all, but the Salonpas patches with methyl salicylate take the edge off some. Has anyone experienced anything like this? Any solutions? I worry about something serious setting in like RA or Lupus, but it is not really typical for those either. This has been going on for weeks in one of our busiest seasons.

Have they checked to see if it could be gout ? I have had gout move around like that. It usually starts in the sole of one foot, and then suddenly stops and the next morning , it can be in my other foot. Mine does not seem to land in my big toe like most gout does, although occasionally, I have had it there.
I have tried epsom salts and ice water.
The ice water seems to help the most, because it kept it numbed.
Once the doctor gave me something that helped it, but I have forgotten what it was now. None of the OTC pain meds helped at all, and even DMSO didn’t do much for it, although it was as good as anything else.

My hubby had gout once. It was so painful that he couldn't let the bed sheet touch his toe. His doctor prescribed colchicine and allopurinol. He took one all the time but if he felt another bout of gout coming, he took the other. I don't remember which he took regularly. But it worked.

I think allopurinol is supposed to keep gout at bay, and the colchicine is supposed to relieve it. It could be gout I guess. I didn't realize it could move like that. I thought it was usually in the joints. I think @BethG is an expert on the subject, but she doesn't seem to be on here any more.

I miss her. I wish she and Faye1 both would come back. They are both lovely smart people. Funny, too. 😊

I'm 81 when I look back, I look at the peak periods between 20 and 50. When I look forward it's a day at a time. Someday looking forward will be an hour at a time.
I find when I have a good health day, I try to use it wisely, do something that puts a smile on my face.

Tony good days are celebrations. Hope you have many of those.

Sometimes I think I'm losing my memory. Like posting sometimes I forget to hit reply or repeat a post if not careful when replying. Sometimes I have joint pain in right shoulder. I think being in the woods saves me, but ticks chiggars and now mosquito's are realty bad again this year, plus I saw 2 small green snakes hanging on a tree limb, very unusual, never saw that before. I've been saving trees here for 27 years and only see them on the ground. Usually around the chicken pen.

I have a bad injury on my hand, so now I have a long wound on my left forearm, and thanks to the DAMN spoiled hard headed 'therapy' dog Foxy my right hand is really injured where skin was torn off , no doctor yet, just Antibiotic cream first night, then soaking in salt water and covering with Vaseline and bandage. I had to use rubber glove to bathe.
This morning I screamed when I took off bandage, hurt so bad made me instantly sick at my stomach. Couple flaps of skin was stuck to bandage.
I can usually take pain, I have pushed my muscle's back inside my stomach when it busted open' C-section birth' then took a bus with 3 babies to ER blood sloshing in my shoes and up to my neck on t-shirt. Bus driver almost ran over the 3yo, so I screamed my baby, he ask how many babies do you have and you need an ambulance not a bus.
, A couple years ago I slapped my toes back into joint and reset both broke toes, foot turned black so we went to er, Hubby said he tried to stop me but I had already began and he took off when I screamed, as did both cats and dogs barked. Doctor laughed when he saw the x-rays and said I did a good job.
I'm a firm believer in " what doesn't kill you ,makes you stronger. But I'm old now and tired.

I noticed that several people here have mentioned diabetes as a health issue. Today, on Amazon Kindle store, Dr. Jason Fung’s book about it is on sale. It is called “The Diabetes Code”. I have not read this one, but i have read some of his other books, and definitely recommend checking it out. It is on sale for only $1.99 for the ebook right now, but will not be on sale for very long.

That is largely because there are many types of sugar, both natural and fake, in everything now days. Docs don't normally test you for diabetes until you're 50, by which time it's too late to reverse some diabetic complications. My Mom was told she had it at 50 and she died at 52. I was told at 50 too, but I was more active and got it under control, and kept it that way from from 2006 until 2022 when I got Covid, which made me lose control of it.

The Nutrition Facts labels are hard to read because they're so small. Serving sizes are so small people typically eat more than one. It really pays to read them and add totals for however much you eat. People talk about Calories a lot, but rarely about Carbs, which are just as important. Calorie needs vary from one person to the next, so it's difficult to say what your per meal limit should be, but you should try limit your Carb intake to 45 Carbs per meal. I try to stay below 1,200 Calories per day, which isn't too difficult since I only eat twice a day.

Cindy always said that quite often, frozen food isn't all that bad for you as long are you watch the ingredients, and she had a good method of recognizing bad frozen or other prepared meals. "If there is something in it that you can't pronounce, you might not want to eat it." 👎

What health problems do you have and are they long term or short term problems?
Since you imported all these old folks, I am surprised you would ask that question. I think I have a stress fracture in my ankle but since it is my bad leg, the limp is pretty much the same:ROFLMAO: l don't do doctors so I don't know my 'numbers' but I know I am an Aquarius.

Put a smile on your face when you have a bad day, too, Tony! You are a child of God!

My list includes congestive heart failure, lymphedema, type 2 diabetes, enlarged prostate, and the docs have an eye on my kidneys too. Overweight by a ton but I have dropped 40 pounds since March. So far keeping that off and chipping away at losing more.

I thought the cardiologist gave me a pass last year, but I needed to get in to be checked after a year. Just had an echocardiogram, nd I don't like what I saw in the results afterward. My guess is I'll be sent for another type of scan once I get with the cardiologist in a month. Bleh.

Loads of prescription drugs each day. Increased my activity level, modified my diet. Wearing the damned compression stockings all the time.

I try to stay mostly positive. That probably works by turning a blind eye to those health issues as much as possible. I don't dwell on that stuff.

I was having bad panic attacks but with medication (or just luck) I seem to have gotten beyond all that.

Valve problems @Jacob Petersheim ? Bad valves in the heart could be causing many of the problems you listed but not the diabetes.

My Mother hated Docs. She went to work one day and she was clearly not doing very well. Her boss told her to go to see a Doc, or she would lose her job. She went home. The next morning she was taken to the hospital in a diabetic coma. She died three weeks later.

Please, Mary. If not for yourself, do it for your family and friends... Go see a Doc. 🙏

Has anyone heard from @Tony Page lately? I wonder how he is doing with his therapy.
I'm here. I've stopped in once in a while To see what's going on. I've had eleven radiation treatments up to today, Most people include my family think it's a piece of cake but there's a lot more to it than just getting the treatment. Before each treatment I have to make sure my bladder if full and my bowel is empty. I cannot have any bloating, it's tricky to adjust your intake for this criteria. So far I just had to get off the radiation table once to drink more water to full my bladder. My prostate and surrounding areas feel irriatated I take ibuprofen for that.
I come home tired, so I nap.

Hopefully after I finish the next 15 treatments, I'll be able to spend more time with all of you. Until then it will be sporadic.
